Rising Stars: Meet Elizabeth McLeod

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth McLeod.

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Elizabeth McLeod. I grew up on a farm outside of a small town in Alberta, before finding my way into the big city. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at 25 years old and currently work full-time as a registered nurse in Calgary.

I found a passion for visual arts and began freelance modeling, which I have been doing for the past 5 years.

Recently, I have found my own image in photography and I focus most of my free time on content creation. I am very passionate about what I do and the brand I have created for myself.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I have experienced multiple barriers along the way. This includes moving out on my own at the age of 16 and supporting myself throughout the years. I have experienced abuse, loss, love, and pain, and through it all, I never gave up on myself. I now have the opportunity to help people needing mental health support as a psychiatric nurse.

Becoming a content creator has allowed me to find my voice and stay true to myself through everything I create.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My full-time position is as a psychiatric nurse, but I also work as a creative doing content creation. I have done freelance modeling for the past 5 years, which has helped me to learn posing, lighting, and editing.

The rest I have learned from studying content and creating my own personal brand. The most important step I took with content creation is finding myself and staying true to who I am. People are able to get a snapshot of my authentic self through my content.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Email or message me on Instagram. I am always looking for brands to work/collaborate with. I also love to support other creatives out there, so don’t be afraid to contact me.
