Hi Lillian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So I graduated from Esthetician school in August 2020. During Covid & all. After finishing school, I already had the mindset that I was not going to work for anyone. I wanted to do my own thing. However, finishing school during Covid was very challenging. Everything was limited and at one point service providers could not do anything and had to close down for a while. That being said it did take me a while to start my own business. Let’s fast forward to the following year. July 2021. I officially started practicing with my mother and sisters. After getting comfortable with them I moved over to friends, after friends I would take friends of friends or family friends. Building clientele definitely takes time but with all the hard work I had put into my business I was finally able to rent out my own salon studio.
“How did you get to where you are today?” With a lot of hard work, determination, and continuous support from my clients. I would not be where I am today without them. Especially my amazing regulars. They know who they are and I appreciate them more than they know. They have been with me since the beginning and are always rooting for me. I genuinely love and adore them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! I definitely had my ups and downs. There is a lot that goes on “behind the scenes” that we business owners don’t put out. When running a business you want to make sure that you’re doing everything correctly and getting everything done that you need in order to properly run a business. In my experience at school, we did not learn much about that part.
Luckily, I did have friends and acquaintances that helped me out and guided me in the right direction.

Golden Esthetics is run by a Licensed Esthetician. I specialize in advanced facials and brow services.
What am I known for? I would have to say my relaxing results-driven facials.
What sets me apart from others? Me being my aesthetic self! Honestly, lol. The amount of comments I get letting me know they love the content I put out, the photos I take, the way I market, and the way my Instagram feed is set up is everything. I put so much work into everything I do. So when my clients or really anyone lets me know… it makes me smile. I’m glad it all shows!
I’m most proud of myself and how far my business has come. She is thriving and she is growing.
