Meet Angela Williams of Ask Seek Knock Coaching Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Williams.

Hi Angela, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Born in Oklahoma, raised in California, and served in the military – U.S. Army, stationed in Texas. My heart has always loved San Antonio and I waited for God to open the door for me to return. After leaving the military, I returned to CA and worked in the medical field and law enforcement. I studied skincare, Ayurveda, and holistic methods which led me to become a Licensed Esthetician to date.

During this time, life happened as it does with each of us at one point, I had two daughters and was faced with an STD diagnosis that shattered my world. I suffered in silence because grant it, this is something that no one talks about but everyone could be affected or faced with in some form. I began to feel as though I was damaged goods and who would love me? That thought was short-lived after an encounter with God. He began to let me see that I can not believe the lies of the enemy and eventually he would cause me to blow the bullhorn in breaking this stigma/taboo.

Having this diagnosis has always been in the back of my mind. And, as a minister God allowed me to share it with a congregation while preaching. It was not in my notes and I was not prepared. I had shared so much, that it was no turning back from the message. After preaching, women contacted me and told me, they thought they were alone. They did not know who to talk to until I delivered that word. I had not spoken about it since, but only to a select few as led.

There were a few times men would come to me and share their HIV status. I did not know them and it seemed random and odd, but deep down it was like God was showing me as a magnet. I fought it. I wrestled with it until I had no choice but to write about it. For years, people would ask, when are you going to write that book and I would laugh it off. Not realizing that God would use my STD diagnosis as my first book.

Living With An STD A Guide To Overcoming The Damaged Goods Mindset and Living An Abundant Life was birthed. Today, I am an Ordained Minister, Licensed Esthetician, and Self-published Author living out loud and breaking the stigma. Be around me long enough, I will make you believe in yourself and Carpe Diem – seize the day, make your mark and make it count.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So many challenges, so many obstacles, so many bumps in the road mentally, emotionally, spiritually you name it. Only a small number of people knew but my daughters saw it in rare form. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I am an open book and I never talked “baby talk” with my girls. If they asked, I told them, never lying to them. Their pain for me was real, but I showed them life. I tried to do everything right but no matter what there is always a monkey wrench thrown in our plan.

With the STD, I was faced with physical discomfort, and pain, and trying to manage stress in preventing an outbreak. Relationships were basically non-existent because I was ashamed and scared to say anything, even for fear of rejection. My focus was work and I dived into it making sure I was able to take care of my family. My children were the only ones that knew how rough the mountain had gotten. But, things had to be done and if I could not do it, who would?

Mentally I did not want to be judged. Although I am a strong and confident woman, this STD served me a huge humble pie. And, my heart wanted to protect, encourage and cover other women that fell victim to something out of their control.

We’ve been impressed with Ask Seek Knock Coaching Services, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Based on the scripture in the bible Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

I provide practical solutions to help any and everyone figure out this thing called life. Sometimes we get stuck in our own heads, and on the outside looking in, I help you see things differently and create a plan of action to get you in forwarding momentum. This is ministry. This is coaching. This is your solution. I do not preach unless I am given the liberty to, but I am that big sis or that favorite aunt that everyone loves but is mindful not to have on speaker phone. Nothing is off-limits. I am ASKAngela911.

I am simply surrendering to my purpose in life and being that walking billboard as to what FREEDOM looks like. I am available for churches, schools, organizations, retreats, etc.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Because I kept this such a hush, hush, I would like to thank God for getting me to this point of freedom. My daughters of course and those selected few that I shared my story who never judged or shamed me. To my coaches and teammates at The Empact Group who gave me the platform and tools to create with integrity.

I am forever grateful for the stretch they afforded me. My family and friends for seeing in me what took me years to see in myself and not being surprised when I jumped. And lastly, I am thankful for giving the little girl inside a voice and finally walking in my truth unashamed and trusting the process.
