Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Ripley.
Hi Erin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am first a mom to two sweet kiddos. My son is almost 11 and my daughter is almost 10. They were my inspiration to get into photography. My husband and I were both Air Force, which took us all over the world. I began my photography journey after my 2nd kiddo was born. We were living overseas in Germany, and I wanted to be able to send photos home to family in the States. I very quickly became obsessed with creating magical images. Erin Ripley Photography has become so much more than I could have ever imagined. If you had told me 9 years ago I’d be where I’m at today, I’d never believe it. Bless is most certainly an understatement.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My business started in Germany in 2012, then relocated to Virginia in 2016, and then once again relocated to Texas in 2018. Moving and trying to start over was very hard. Trying to get my name out there and get established can be very tough. I am so thankful to every client that has trusted me to photograph their growing families
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Maternity, Newborn, & Milestone photographer. I love to photograph a glowing mom growing her sweet little blessing. I have over 90 couture gowns to allow each mom to customize the look of her session and tailor it to her. I love to have fun during our sessions and really get to know my clients, I want to photograph them in a way that represents them and their stories.
Once their little one arrives earthside we begin planning the studio newborn session, I have so many different styles and colors to choose from. I do not take lightly the trust given to me by my clients, getting to snuggle all of the sweet new babies is such an honor. I like to make our time together fun and laid back, I love to laugh and have a good time.
It’s so important to me that my clients leave with not only amazing images but an amazing experience as well.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I love working with other local creatives. I do lots of milestone sessions and first birthday cake smashes. The parents choose a theme and I fully build a set to go along with it, so I’m always looking for people who are able to make any sort of custom item, prop, outfit and cake to use during these sessions.
