Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanne K. Ceja.
Hi Leanne, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Being a San Antonio native, I was given the amazing opportunity to complete a Cosmetology course during my high school years and quickly jumped into the hair industry following my graduation. I was also a mom at just 15 years old to my son who, of course, gave me all the drive that has kept me going even to this day.
I knew I wanted to be successful in something that I was passionate about, something that felt authentic and inspiring. Beauty was everything passion for me. After spending close to 9 years being a hair and makeup artist, I was starting to feel stuck.
I took a couple of years away from the industry to focus on finding what made me feel passionate again. It was at that time I decided to head back to beauty school at Paul Mitchell San Antonio and invest in the aesthetics side of the industry. Starting with skincare and facials, I became addicted to helping people learn about their skin and seeing their results, as well as their confidence, shine through!
Lash extensions became a part of my journey about 2 years ago and quickly became my zen. Now I’m blessed to say I can offer these services through my own business, Leanne K. Beauty, in my studio located inside Salon Boutique.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well, I think like any journey, it was definitely a challenge. Aside from the daily struggles of just life happening (kids, marriage, family, finances), to me the biggest struggle was just convincing myself to just DO IT.
Whatever it was. Some days were harder than others, especially when trying to learn so many things at once, but I also remembered how awesome it is to be living in a time where so many resources and community is available.

I am the owner and licensed operator at Leanne k. My biggest thing is connecting with people. I care so much about helping people feel their best that it becomes deeper than skin… here I like to create a space that feels like home.
So, a lot of the time, I become really close to my guests whether we spend the whole service having a therapy sesh or just simply getting you to relax for just that moment. All good vibes over here.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Authenticity and passion. I like to feel aligned with the things that I love and put energy into them. The intention is also super important to me. I truly feel like everyone has a gift and whenever we discover and utilize that gift, success is the only option.
