Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenny Alele.
Hi Kenny, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our story begins in our humble home when our family wanted to start something that would benefit our community and us.
The eldest daughter in our family has a passion for baking, her mom is also a Caterer, so I guess it runs in the family. We, therefore, decided to turn her passion for baking into something that will benefit everyone. That’s how Kome’s Cookie, a bakery devoted to serving up delicious goodies to our customers’ was born.
At Kome’s Cookie, we are passionate about our baked goods and how they can positively influence our customers’ day. Our products are baked fresh with love and high-standard ingredients sourced from among the best and most trusted names and brands around Texas and its environs.
Kome’s Cookie’s primary priority is nutrition and hygiene, and we are family-owned and operated. Kome’s Cookie is an Alele Family Dynasty originally from Nigeria and proudly African.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been challenging at times, first, the cost of production has gone up due to the rising cost of food items as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The business also went down considerably with fewer orders from our customers due to the economic hardship from the Covid-19 pandemic.
In general, prices of all goods, foodstuff, and ingredients have skyrocketed due to the high cost of gas and petroleum product which affected transportation, partly as a result of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Another factor is stress related to doing business at home with young children of school ages.
Though the road has not been all rosy and smooth but being a part of Kome’s Cookie has been highly rewarding. and fulfilling experience.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Church of God Mission Int and Lasting Impact Mission?
I do missionary work all over the world. From Africa to Asia, Cuba, Columbia, Honduras, Mexico, Caribbean Island, and the Philipines.
As a Certified Coach, I teach life and leadership in conferences and seminars and am an author of many books among the recently published Something Beautiful and Fake News released in April 2022. (Lulu Press)
I have also worked for Lasting Impact Mission (LIM) as its Foreign Mission Director since 2018. To date, some of my outreach work is available on our website at www.lastingimpactmission.org.
We build schools and provide scholarships for students, give healthcare, and drill boreholes for clean drinking water free in rural communities that cannot afford such services and the government is not able to extend such services.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
