Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Cruz, Jr.
Hi Daniel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a creative bone within me whether it be digital art to music I’ve always loved to create.
My father was a musician and my mother always created home crafts to sell. So I was somewhat born into being creative in some way. So while my fiancé and I started a thriving clothing brand we needed a photographer for a product shoot.
Good photographers were hard to come by on-demand so I taught myself and picked a digital camera and began shooting.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In a saturated field of photography nowadays your work has to stand out, even more, to get hired. Unless you find a genre that no one doing that’s profitable and you love as have I which is Zumba.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer constantly learning constantly trying to grow and trying to create something out of nothing. I’m most proud of meeting and shooting great events with some of the biggest names in the Zumba industry.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
My goal is to one-day product shoot for Zumba Wear.
