Hi Laiza, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I immigrated from Panama to the US in 2006, with 500 dollars in my pockets 2 small luggage and a lot of dreams. Leaving behind my country family and friends my number 1 priority here was always to build my own business.
I start my brand and company in 2019, dedicated to the fashion and candle industry. Girls Fact is the name of the brand a proud woman-owned/afrolatina-owned business.
Starting a business is never been easy, It’s a lot of challenge, it requires determination, learning, and a lot of motivation.
What motivates me most in my business? Design. Designing is one of my biggest passion and you can see this in the exclusivity of all my products. I have more than 15 successful product designs doing very well in Amazon US.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles is all the challenges that come ahead and you have no idea of them until you are on the field. As a small business owner, you’re in charge of EVERYTHING.

I actually work full time in my business, running a small business is a lot of dedication especially when my line of products is handmade. I’m a full-time Amazon Seller and my line of products include jewelry, candle and candle holders are uniquely handmade with love.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
A characteristic I feel that is very important is passion, I love what I do, and I feel my passion when I’m creating and elaborating my products.
