Hi Telsa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The creation of Ms.Moontime came to me in a dream March of 2019. In that dream it depicted that I was making a product that helped women with menstrual cycles and they were thanking me for it. I had never had a dream like that before and had no idea what that would even mean. The next day I wrote out the idea on a piece of paper. I chose this name to be a direct reflection of me. I am a Cancerian also known as moonchild and menstrual cycles are indigenously called Mooncycles.The idea was just on paper for a long period of time. Then COVID hit and I went to work every single day during the week. It was a ghost town and I had a lot of time to think while I was driving on those empty roads. Fear and anxiety like most of the world crept in and the idea of having a business definitely wasn’t even a thought in my mind anymore. Fast forward to Janurary 2021 ,there was more and more of an urgency inside of my being ,guiding me to get back into my dream and actually make it a reality. My relationship with God and spiritually strengthened. So naturally my confidence strengthened too! I began to have this obsession with nature and how it made me feel so powerful. I started going on hikes and listening to nature sounds and just being grateful that I was able to witness what I was actually experiencing. At this point it was like a domino effect and I always wanted to feel that feeling even when I couldn’t be in the middle of nature. I started buying different herbs and used them on myself. Researching them and the effects they had. Smelling them, tasting them and some I even smoked. I wanted to know the effects through and through. Fast forward to January 2022 I made my first oil that I call Liquid Gold PMS oil. I started using it and provided some to a close friend. She LOVED it! She started letting other people know about it and they purchased from me. I gave some to coworkers and they said it helped them relax and made it easy to go to sleep at night while easing their cramps. I was ecstatic and so happy that I could help people in a holistic way! I have made many more products since then and I feel like this is my life’s purpose. To educate and help people from everywhere, while doing what I love.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
“God put bumps in the road, to keep us from falling asleep at the wheel!”-Unknown My road has had a lot of bumps, cracks, and reconstruction. I believe that it is normal to have such things. It builds intelligence and character. I had times when I was overwhelmed with work life, home life and family life. So fatigued that I didn’t have the energy to work on my passion, so I had to make adjustments.
I went through 3 different phases with my bath brittle and none worked how I wanted them to. I had to realize that I am making an all natural product so my products will have different results too.
They wont be colorful and wont be sudsy like commercial bath products.BUT they will incorporate Mother Earth,aid for healing ,smell wonderful,free of alcohol, synthetic fragrance and made with Love!
I might also add that it is so important to have people around you that truly support you ! I now have a partner who truly supports what I am destined to do. A lot of individuals don’t have this support and it is something that I always prayed for.Now that I have it ,I am able to be the best version of myself so that I may pour into communities of different people with the same ideas as I do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am happy to say that my passion for holistic menstrual healing has led me to herbalism! This is what makes me truly happy and excited! With my products you can be at ease, knowing that it is meant to heal naturally!
The knowledge I know about health and wellness, I apply with great intention to all of my products! I am all about results and how things make me feel!
I specialize in holistic healing and my business is for individuals that desire to, (if not already) live a holistic lifestyle. Even if they know nothing about it. I want Ms.Moontime to spark a flame so that individuals desire to educate themselves, and go deeper into natural medicine! It’s truly amazing!
I am proud of myself for believing in me and making adjustments that offer me a better quality of life! I am determined to keep building a life that keeps me full and feeling abundant.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am biracial, I am African American and Mexican! I am 6’ feet, woman of color and I am a part of the LGBT community.
