Meet Kavita Rao

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kavita Rao.

Hi Kavita, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am currently a college student still on a journey trying to figure out what I want my story to be. I recently took interest in becoming a social media content creator while trying to discover myself and realizing that I could share what I love (fashion) with others and possibly spark inspiration. It has been both challenging and rewarding for me. At times, social media is an outlet for me to be creative and free, while also meeting other creative individuals who inspire me. Being able to make someone smile or connect with someone on a personal level through one post is what I find most fulfilling about social media. As for right now, I am still writing my story, and searching for ways I can make a powerful impact on others’ stories.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, with social media, there is self doubt and criticism that definitely gets to me a lot. Comparing myself to others and wondering why I couldn’t be as creative as other people were and sometimes still are the reasons why I get in my own way of being successful. I dwelled so much on how I wanted to be viewed it stopped me from being as creative as I wanted to be. Once I moved past the insecurities and stress of trying to create a certain image and realized that the only person I wanted to be viewed as was my true self. I told myself that if I am genuine and consistent I will attract genuine people who support me and accept me for who I am, no matter how long it takes.

I am a lifestyle & fashion content creator. Always Trying to find new ways to inspire my audience.
