Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenia Renee Osuna.
Hi Kenia Renee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Holaaaaaa!
My name is Kenia Renee Osuna. Although born in California, and achieving most of my education in Mexico, I’d definitely consider myself a Texas woman. Since a very young age, I’ve had the urge to make people beautiful, regardless of ethnicity, age, or gender. It is often said that when you are able to turn your passion into profit, you will never work a day in your life. It’s half true; there has yet to be a day in which I rue to do what I do, but it is hard work.
Cosmetology is my passion, my drive and my happiness. Highlighting someone’s beauty, making someone’s special day a little more special, aiding someone to become who they want to be, it all brings joy to my soul. It is something I see myself doing long term, as my end goal is to open my own hair salon.
While I was pursuing my degree in business management I would help an aunt at her hair salon back in Mexico, she is my mentor and teacher..
After graduating college, I joined Paul Mitchell because I fell in love with the foundation on which it was built and the values on which it resonated with me. I gained so much more in such a short time from both my peers and my educators.
I’ve always been determined to gain the most from this experience. Everything comes with time, hard work, motivation and opportunities. I started my small business as a salon suite owner with the support of my loyal guests and family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with an amazing family that has always supported my ideas and all of my dreams, friends that have been there every step of the way which I’m very thankful for. It does get hard at times just like anything else we do in life but with faith, motivation and hard work everything goes the way it’s supposed to. I always say that I feel like I’m living a dream because being a hairstylist/make up artist feels surreal to me to this day.

Renee Osuna provides beauty services to the San Antonio community. Renee Osuna is a private salon suite which offers hair color, blondes, styles, makeup and much more.
Our focus is to give you all a well-rounded service that when you come in you feel that your beauty was highlighted and enhanced.
My goal is to make everyone feel special, comfortable and always satisfied with the service and end result.
My goal is to “highlight your beauty”.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned throughout my journey is to be patient and that everything comes with time, discipline and all the hard work/sacrifices pay off. Always treat your clients how are you would like to be treated.
