Meet Sabha Mahmoud

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabha Mahmoud.

Hi Sabha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My road to success was an uphill battle but I never gave up. I was always very passionate about beauty and skincare. I started with beauty school in 2011 and became an Esthetician in Fresno, California. I specialized in Brazilian waxing and made my own masks.

Throughout the years, I had struggled to find clients, and not knowing how to advertise my business correctly I stopped and only did facials and waxing for my regulars. When the pandemic hit, I completely lost all my clientele due to Covid. During the beginning of quarantine, I moved from California to Nevada completed a Microblading Certification and a 6-month apprenticeship.

Throughout my apprenticeship, I never missed a class and would take my practice skins with me on long drives and even on my vacation that summer! I was even practicing on pig’s skin. In February 2021, I woke up with blurred vision thinking it must be time for new glasses. After 5 specialists’ diagnoses and recovering from eye surgery not ONLY did I think my life was OVER… but everything I worked so hard for was DONE! I had to put school on hold for 4 months when I only had a month left. Losing my vision was mortifying and never taken it for granted ever since.

I am a private person and not sharing my personal experience for sympathy rather show others’ that there will always be hiccups along the way but it doesn’t mean we should QUIT! I was so hard on myself for NOT completing the program on time but eventually did and received my license. If I would have quit I wouldn’t be where I am today! I built a brand that developed into an LLC known as SM Beauty Aesthetics. Began traveling and teaching training in different states which led me to cross paths with like-minded individuals with the same drive and ambition in Austin, Texas.

Who knew my true calling would be to educate ladies on how to become independent boss babes while pursuing their passion! I relocated to Austin, Texas as I am dedicated to enhancing the beauty in my clients and educating my students.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge is starting over from scratch in a new state not knowing anyone. I feel like I was broken and had to rebuild myself. I’ve had to get super creative in the ways I advertise because I moved during the holidays when no one wants to pay for services or training.

Its been a process but I’m thankful and have grown and learned from my experiences. Losing my vision as a Microblading Artist. Losing clients due to Covid.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an Esthetician, PMU Artist, Body Sculptor, and a Master Instructor. I have several years of experience with skincare, specialize in Brazilian waxing, and I am most proud that in 2021 I began educating women on how to be their own boss. I am very passionate about empowering females and very patient when it comes to training others.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
