Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Bustamante.
Hi Chris, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My name is Chris Bustamante and I was born in Wichita, Kansas. At the age of four years old, I moved to El Paso, Texas where I was raised. I started playing football at the age of eight years old where I immediately found Love and passion for the game. A couple of years later I attended Horizon High School where I was a triple sport athlete and played Basketball, Football, and ran Track. After a great athletic career, I received a scholarship and committed to Lakeland University.
During my four years at college, I Began my entrepreneur journey where I started my Youtube channel under the name @Cb3_era. This channel consists of vlogs, pranks, challenges, storytimes, my football journey, and much more. I also started my own business called CB3 Performance where I train some of the most elite level athletes from Pro, college, high school, and youth levels. After a great college football career, I received an official invitation to the Podium All-Star Bowl where they take the top 100 college football prospects and have them compete against each other in a single game. Soon after that, I received an official invitation to the 2020 NFL combine where I declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. After becoming undrafted and a free agent, I then ended up signing with The Spring League where I would showcase my talents in Denver, Colorado.
After a great performance, I finally received my first Official Pro Contract offer from the San Antonio Gunslingers. This is when the City of San Antonio became my adopted new home. I have currently been living in San Antonio for a year and two months where I have had a great Pro football Career with the San Antonio Gunslingers, I have established and grown my CB3 Performance business, grown my Youtube Channel to over 21,000 thousand subscribers, and accumulated millions of views, and most recently just became the Host of the podcast CB3 Motivation available on Youtube, Apple Podcast, and Podbean. I am currently continuing to elevate my brand using my Platforms and have been in discussion with multiple different NFL and CFL teams. I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My journey most definitely has not been a smooth one. growing up as an undersized Athlete and a Hispanic male, I was always told I was too small to play football at an elite level. After putting in the work and becoming a very talented triple sport athlete I started to be told that I was too small to play college football. I had plenty of colleges skip over me and not offer me a scholarship due to my size.
However, all it took was one school to take a chance on me. After receiving a scholarship from Lakeland University and having an amazing college football career people then started to say I was too small to play pro football and the chances of a Hispanic male going pro were very slim.
I started to notice a trend and realized that people who can’t do something themselves like to think that no one else can do it as well. I became obsessed with proving people wrong and proving myself right. Soon after, that I signed my first pro contract with the San Antonio Gunslingers and am now talking to many different NFL teams making my dream of playing in the NFL a reality.

I am a professional Football player, Youtuber, Personal Trainer, and Podcast Host. I currently play for the Wyoming Mustangs of the CIF League and I am known for my insane ability to be extremely shifty and make defenders miss tackles. My nickname CB3 is universal across all four of my platforms.
As a YouTuber, I am known for my crazy challenges and pranks that I love to entertain my supports with. On my channel, you can also keep up with my football journey and day-to-day lifestyle. As a personal trainer, I have built my CB3 Performance business from the ground up and I am best known for my ability to sharpen my athletes’ skills and get them performing at an elite top-notch level. I specialize in speed, agility, strength, and sports-specific training.
Lastly, as a host for the CB3 Motivation Podcast, I am known for bringing on a variety of different guests who are very successful in their own respected fields who talk about what it takes to become successful in life and give great advice to those who are looking to make their dreams a reality. With the creation of all four of my platforms I am most proud about being able to inspire younger and older generations while being able to pave the way for future Entrepreneurs, Content creators, Trainers, and Pro athletes all over the world.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in hard work. I have always found that the harder I work the luckier I get and I don’t think that is a coincidence.
