Meet Terry Loredo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Loredo.

Hi Terry, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
As a Hispanic woman, hair has always been important to me. After high school, I enrolled in beauty school and haven’t looked back since. Thanks to my education from Regis and attending many classes and seminars I have armed myself with the best techniques to be successful.

To bring my business to the next level, I branched out as a distributor of Halocouture and Hiddencrown which has absolutely upgraded my services by helping people with hair loss or who are looking for extra glam.

Owning my business has been the hardest and most rewarding thing I have done. Recently, being nominated for Hair Innovator of the Year has really empowered me to continue building my business.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
At the beginning of my hair career, I had many struggles to which I know many women can relate, which is being a single mom. It was not easy to build my clientele while juggling all the demands in my personal life. As time progressed, I realize that the only way to take control of my career was to have my own business.

Being a first-time business owner has taken a lot of trial and error and faced me with learning how to incorporate a social media presence to improve my business. I have learned so much and even though I have been in the industry for over 20 years I’m not afraid to keep pushing forward.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a hairstylist, I offer what most typical salons would offer, but my main focus is hair extensions. Over the years, I have observed that hair loss is a very common occurrence for various reasons. Beyond being a hairstylist, it’s important to me to help others and this is how I contribute.

As technology has improved so have hair extensions. There are so many options available for anyone who is looking for a hair solution. In the age of social hair extensions have become even more trendy to achieve those looks we all see online and in advertising.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
As the demand for a social media presence increases it’s important that any business owner takes steps to build on that. Along with the increasing demand for hair extensions trends such as this are only going to continue progressing as time goes on.
