Hi Esteban, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Been in medical sales for the past six years and realized not only the demand for senior living but the confusion and struggle patients and families have when searching for a placement. My goal was to simplify the search for senior living and I started that January 2020 right when Covid-19 hit.
It challenged me more than I thought and didn’t see my first client until after three months. I did all kinds of jobs just to make ends meet including yard work and power washing. Thankfully, I have been able to place many seniors and the feeling is very rewarding. Eventually, I’d like to start my own community for seniors with limited income and find a solution to this long waiting list we have here in San Antonio.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning, it was tough. I had to create contracts, establish relationships with communities, and since Covid-19 restricted visitation and tours, it made my job even harder. I had to find a solution to still allow people to view the community without entering and I decided to create 3-D virtual reality tours for my clients.
This didn’t only help expedite the process of placing someone in a community, but the communities themselves we’re interested in having a virtual tour for every single floor plan such as a one-bedroom versus a two-bedroom, etc. As of today my VR Tours have had over 20,000 views and have helped make the Senior living search much easier and more fun.
