Hi Spencer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I have been a bartender for a while. I started bartending in San Diego, California at a local speed bar and found that I really loved it. I loved the fast-paced environment and the bar scene. I moved to San Antonio, Texas and got a few bartending jobs. One at a local pub and the other at a craft cocktail bar. At both establishments, I learned a lot of knowledge and grew my mental recipe book. I started to see that no matter where I was, whether it be the speed bar, or the cocktail lounge, people love coming to drink and meet new people.
I soon grew many regulars and connections through these jobs and found out that most of my regulars would be willing to pay me to bartend for their own events. It was at this time that I saw a need for a Mobile Bartending business. So I decided to invest in a mobile bar and create my own business. Thus TopShotz Mobile Bartending and Events was born. I quickly established a solid marketing platform and social media sites to grow my business and make myself known throughout the greater San Antonio area. I started bartending various events such as; weddings, corporate events, private parties, birthday celebrations, and community events. Since the inception of my company, my business has grown tremendously. Word of my services has traveled and now I receive business opportunities not only in the San Antonio area but also across Texas. I have traveled to Corpus Christi, Dallas, Austin, and on occasion Houston. I am tremendously blessed with the rapid growth of the business and look forward to the future of growing my local business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was not easy at first. I started my business in the height of the Covid-19 crisis. Starting off, business was extremely slow. People were very hesitant to hold public events. But since everything has opened up, the business has been booming. I have received many solicitations for weddings that were postponed due to Covid. And now that people are free to get out and socialize more freely, there is so much opportunity for public gatherings. Many corporations are hosting corporate parties again, communities are gathering for public events, and people are feeling comfortable celebrating various holidays and celebrations. Bartenders are always needed in these gatherings to serve cocktails and help people let loose. For this reason, my business has had major growth.

Some wedding parties like to create a signature cocktail based on the personality of the bride and groom and the theme of their wedding. This is a fun aspect on our business because it allows us to be creative and explore different flavor profiles based on the taste of the client.
