Community Highlights: Meet Jeremy Biggs of Jalisco House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Biggs.

Hi Jeremy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been a general contractor most of my life. I saw an opportunity to open an authentic Mexican snack store in Fredericksburg. We decided from the beginning that we would only serve and sell authentic and fresh products. We opened 5/14 of this year and have had amazing support, both by locals and tourists. We have customers that travel from an hour or more away to come and purchase our products due to the creativity, authenticity and freshness.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
At first, we had a few struggles with inventory and keeping things in stock. We also had an initial investment number in mind and have gone about 3 times that amount making sure we make it a great experience and getting everything to run as smoothly as possible. We also had some minor personnel issues at first.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Jalisco House?
We serve and sell authentic Mexican snack and products. We are super proud to be the only store to serve certain products in the region and much appreciated by our customers. We bring many of our products from Mexico to create comfort food products for our customers who can’t get that experience most other places.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Any referrals or opportunities to collaborate are appreciated.
