Hi Michael, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Originally from the city of Asmara in Eritrea,located on East Africa. I believe my path to success is one that speaks to strength of the human spirit and the result of hard work coupled with positive thinking and gratitude.In 2009 When I first came to the US my first job was Marble Slab Creamery, In Baton Rouge Louisiana. I was then offered an opportunity to relocate to San Antonio TX for a management position with a higher salary.I took as many hours as possible,taking only major holidays off to get to my American Dream of owning my own store. In 2014 the dream came true and I was able to purchase my first Marble Slab Creamery Franchise store.In 2018 I became a franchisee owner with Urban Bricks and last year I became a franchisee owner Of Great American cookie. I love what I do and I am looking forward to expanding to more locations with Marble Slab and Great American Cookie.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. Coming from other country trying to learn the culture and system of the country and once you get to business in a compatitive market is wasnt easy but by having good quality of products with amazing customer service and been located in a prime area made it possible.

Marble Slab is one of the best ice cream brand here in the US,it is made fresh in the store out of scratch daily. We are known with our variety of flavors and unlimited toppings that you can add to your ice cream, If you had Marble Slab before you know what I am talking about if not please visit us and you will never regret starting from our customer service,cleanliness and variety of selections. We also do Cater for any events,usually we are called for Birthday party,employee appreciations and any other event. Now that I co-branded with Great America cookies we do cookie cakes for any occasions. We also make our cookies fresh in house everyday.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
It is getting bigger and with the new owners ,they are bringing a lot of cool ideas of marketing and lowering the price so we are heading to a great direction.
