Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Oostburg.
Hi Sabrina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sabrina Oostburg’s journey started with a simple decision to try something new. After moving to Tennessee from San Diego, she joined her high school track team hoping to make friends. A coach encouraged her to try throwing, and what started as an unexpected introduction to shot put eventually became a Division I athletic career. She went on to compete at Austin Peay State University before transferring to Belmont University, where she competed in shot put and hammer throw while studying Sport Administration.
At Belmont, Sabrina began realizing that her future in sports could extend far beyond competing. Her interest in the business side of athletics led to internships and opportunities in the NIL space, including an experience at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where she worked alongside Team USA athletes and staff.
Her experiences as an athlete also opened the door to entrepreneurship. After seeing how difficult it could be for athletes to understand NIL and build their personal brands, Sabrina founded NIL Roadmap, a company focused on helping student-athletes navigate NIL, social media, and personal branding. The business went on to earn recognition at Belmont’s Buntin Pitch Competition.
Along the way, Sabrina began building her own presence as a creator. Today, she combines her experiences as a Division I athlete, entrepreneur, and sports professional to create content around athletics, fitness, lifestyle, and personal branding. What began with simply trying a new sport has grown into a career centered around using sports, social media, and entrepreneurship to create opportunities—not only for herself, but for other athletes as well.
