Hi Jesse “Hype”, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ever since I was a Kid growing up in the Country, I knew I loved Sports! From wearing the latest Jordan’s to going to the Local Flea Market on the Weekends with my Grandpa (Rest in Peace) and buying as many 25 Cent Dan Marino Cards as I could with a 5 Dollar Bill, I always had a feeling my Future was connected in some way with Collecting! As I grew Older, I was always a Hustler and found the “Corporate Life” just wasn’t for me. I wanted to “be the Boss” and after College and having my First Daughter, I realized my Legacy needed to have more meaning and in 2018, “Hype Of Texas” was born! The Idea of having your own Business through Covid-Times makes most People shake in their Boots, but for Us, the exact opposite happened. Business BOOMED!! 🤯💣📈 From transitioning our Focus from the Sneaker Market, We invested heavily into the Trading Card Market and watched now as over the years, the Ecosystem of Collectibles has flourished! I remember sleeping outside of Target with the roaches, pulling up at 1-2am and being 3rd in Line (Thanks Larry haha), just praying the Vendor would show up at 10-11am and have the latest Panini or Pokemon Products! Now, looking back, We have built something “bigger” than just a Business. We have built a Community, “The Hype”, leading and showing with love and positivity that our City is one of the Best Cities in the whole entire World. GOD Bless and Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Memcite Famm! 🙏✝️☯️

The Road to Success is never a “Smooth Ride”. A Wise Man once said, “Life is full of bumps in the Road. Hard times and small problems happen to everyone, but they do not mean your Journey has ended.”

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Personally, I’m going through a strong Spiritual Rebuild so I’m heavily investing my Time everyday into Reading a Chapter from “The Bible”. I love a lot of different Personalities from GaryVee to Theo Von.. So many People inspire me to be a better Version of myself for the World We live in. One BIG Person who has motivated me, even through his Passing, throughout all my Life, has been Kobe Bryant. 🕊️🐍💜
