Today we’d like to introduce you to Claude Xavier.
Hi Claude, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got a taste of the acting bug when I was cast as a Cuban dancer in Guys & Dolls in high school. In 2005, I performed in a local play in St. Louis, MO, called Unpleasant Excitement. This was my first speaking role, and nothing could hold me back. So I thought.
My job relocated me to San Antonio, TX, in 2007, and my goal was to pick up where I left off. Unfortunately, my opportunities dried up, and I set that dream aside.
Following COVID, I felt the urge to try my other dream, voice acting. I attended “YouTube” University to learn as much as I could about the industry. I bought a USB mic, plugged it into my laptop, and took voice acting for a spin. I was able to get a couple of audiobook deals through ACX, but I did it without pay. I knew if I wanted to make this a paying job, I would need to get training. I paid for training, which led to my narration demo reel. It opened a couple of doors, but not enough to write home about.
I leapfrogged back into film and stage plays. I am older now, with young kids, so taking gigs outside of San Antonio wasn’t easy, but hey, gotta pay my dues. It led me to getting representation! I have done several independent films, my first feature-length film as the lead, and 4 film festival wins.
I recently added a commercial voiceover reel, and I am ready to take on the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Moving from St. Louis, MO, to San Antonio, TX, without knowing anyone made it hard to know where to go to get started. Every audition I did landed nowhere. I accepted the fact that maybe show business is not for me and put my time and effort into the IT field.
One thing I’ve learned about dreams is it doesn’t give up and leave because we do. It was always there. Once the fire grew bright again in 2022, I now have a family I to worry about. When I was young and single, I could afford to go without, swing for the fences, and throw caution to the wind. My situation has changed, and I have to be more cautious, but harder doesn’t mean over. I just have to take the scenic route to reach my dream. As long as I keep moving, I’ll find the finish line.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Claude Xavier Style, LLC encompasses all the styles I have to offer: acting (theater, film, and commercial), voiceover, modeling, and performance (cosplay).
I came into prominence through cosplay. It was my portrayal of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman that got me noticed. I was part of Syfy Channel’s “Creator Friday Series,” which featured up-and-coming creators.
At my core, I am a storyteller—working as an on-camera actor and broadcast voiceover artist. I specialize in grounded, high-intensity roles on camera, while behind the microphone, I deliver crisp, broadcast-ready voiceover from my custom home studio.
What sets me apart is the discipline I bring to the craft. My background as a U.S. Army veteran and competitive physique athlete shaped my work ethic long before I stepped in front of a lens or a microphone. I treat preparation like mission success—there’s no room for cutting corners.
What I’m most proud of is building a career where I don’t have to fit into a single box. Being able to transition seamlessly from a rugged, dramatic film set to a precision-driven, high-stakes voiceover campaign is something I’ve worked tirelessly to cultivate.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was picnic day at my elementary school. I loved flipping off the playground swings. On that day, I swung really high in the air, but misjudged my launch point. I flipped off at the high point of the swing arc. When I say I was flipping, I was flipping! All I saw was sky, then ground; sky, then ground. I couldn’t tell you how many times I flipped in the air, but I had time to reflect on my life choices! When I finally hit the ground, I landed feet first, then fell forward on my wrist. My teacher scolded me, “Don’t you ever do that again!” But to my classmates, I was a legend!
