Hi Gilbert, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised on the vibrant Southside of San Antonio, Texas, an individual has embarked on a mission to blend faith, fun, and the Latino spirit in a podcast that has rapidly gained popularity. Firmly rooted in the belief of Jesus Christ, the goal is not only to showcase the essence of San Antonio but to reach a global audience, demonstrating that walking in faith while embracing one’s cultural identity can be both enjoyable and uplifting.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
There is a specific rhythm to San Antonio that gets under your skin and refuses to leave. It’s a city woven together by deep history, the hum of the River Walk, the limestone walls of the missions, and a pride that runs as deep as the aquifer beneath our feet.
Silver and Black in Our Blood
You can’t talk about San Antonio without talking about the Spurs. Basketball here isn’t just a seasonal sport; it’s a civic religion, a masterclass in teamwork, and the heartbeat of the community. From the championship parades down the river to the eternal chant of Go Spurs Go echoing through every neighborhood, the team represents the grit, humility, and quiet excellence of the city itself. Wearing the silver and black is a badge of honor.
The Breakfast Taco Capital: Nowhere else in the world does a freshly made, buttery flour tortilla wrapped in bacon, egg, and cheese taste like home quite like it does here.
Tex-Mex and Beyond: From legendary neighborhood tex-mex spots that have stood for decades to the incredible culinary renaissance at the Pearl and Southtown, the flavor profile of the city is a vibrant collision of Mexican heritage and Texas tradition.
Culture Rooted in Community
What truly makes San Antonio special, though, is the people and the culture. It’s a place where tradition is fiercely guarded and celebrated—whether it’s the colorful chaos and joy of Fiesta, the lantern-lit evenings along the river, or neighborhood porch hangouts where everyone is treated like family.
San Antonio has soul. It’s laid-back yet fiercely proud, historic yet constantly evolving. There’s nowhere else on earth quite like it.
