Today we’d like to introduce you to Mehgan DLux.
Hi Mehgan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Mehgan started as a 19 year-old performer in college. Went to Angelo State University to study psychology. But quickly realized what they believe their calling is. I have been performing for about 10 years and have built a beautiful family and legacy. There has been many obstacles, but as long as you remain determined and work hard, there’s nothing you cannot overcome. Currently, I am a full-time drag queen who travels from state to state performing, putting smiles on peoples faces.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has been many struggles along the way, I have faced racism, micro aggressions, and many people who just didn’t see it for me, but also people who I thought saw for me, but didn’t really in the end. But like I said, as long as you are very determined and work extremely hard, nothing can stop you.

I am a drag queen who travels from state to state performing specializing in high energy, drag, dance performances with a bit of cheerleading influence inside
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
My favorite book would have to be “werkin it” by not other than RuPaul. The book of the memoir about his life and how he overcame his own struggles and kind of a path to how you can overcome your own life struggle with an obstacles
