Today we’d like to introduce you to Capresiah Dawson.
Hi Capresiah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey started long before Elite Tasking with Kapre officially became a business. Growing up, I spent my summers helping my dad with the clerical side of his photography and DJ business. While most people dreaded paperwork, I genuinely enjoyed organizing documents, keeping things in order, and making administrative tasks easier. Later, while I was in college, I turned those same skills into side jobs to help pay for my textbooks.
Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just learning paperwork — I was discovering how much I enjoyed helping people feel less overwhelmed. I’ve always been someone who enjoys bringing order to chaos, solving problems, and finding answers. That passion has remained the foundation of everything I do.
In 2022, I launched Elite Tasking with Kapre as a virtual assistant business. As I saw more clients coming to me needing a notary or someone to handle legal documents in person, I recognized that what people truly needed wasn’t virtual help — it was a trusted professional they could count on face to face. That led me to expand my services and completely reimagine my vision.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across several industries, from healthcare to commercial banking, but my heart has always remained with administrative support. I enjoy helping people and businesses navigate paperwork, stay organized, and move forward with confidence.
Today, Elite Tasking with Kapre is growing into more than a service-based business. My vision is to become a trusted resource hub where individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and businesses know they can turn for guidance. If I don’t provide the service myself, I’ll do the research or connect them with someone who can.
At the end of the day, my mission isn’t just to complete a task — it’s to help people feel supported, informed, and a little less overwhelmed than when they first reached out
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, no and I think anyone who tells you entrepreneurship has been smooth is leaving something out.
One of my earliest lessons was realizing that the business I launched isn’t always the business you end up building. I started Elite Tasking with Kapre in 2022 as a virtual assistant business, and as technology evolved, I had to make a real decision: adapt or get left behind. That wasn’t a comfortable moment, but it pushed me toward something better — mobile notarizations, loan signings, process serving, and hands-on administrative support. Services where a real, trusted human being still matters.
The other challenge nobody talks about is building a business while still working full time. I carry a full-time career alongside ETWK, which means early mornings, late nights, and learning to be strategic with every hour I have. There’s no team to delegate to. Every client experience, every document, every follow-up — that’s me. That level of responsibility has been both humbling and motivating.
The slowest part has been building trust from scratch. In this industry, people are handing you sensitive legal documents and trusting you with some of the most important moments of their lives. That kind of reputation isn’t built overnight. It’s built one signing, one client, one referral at a time.
But every challenge has pushed me closer to the business I was meant to build. I’ve learned that success isn’t about holding onto one idea — it’s about staying committed to your purpose while remaining flexible enough to meet people where they are.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Elite Tasking with Kapre?
Elite Tasking with Kapre was built to simplify the administrative side of life and business. Based in San Antonio, I proudly serve clients throughout Texas through both mobile and remote services — offering notarizations, loan signings, process serving, I-9 employment verification, document support, and administrative assistance. And beyond client services, I’ve also developed tools to support other notaries, including business trackers and templates available through my Etsy shop.
What I’m most proud of is the vision behind the brand. I want Elite Tasking with Kapre to be the first call someone makes when they don’t know what to do next. Whether I can handle it myself or connect them with someone who can, I want every client to know they have someone in their corner.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to save people time, reduce stress, and make administrative processes feel less intimidating. My hope is that when people hear the name Elite Tasking with Kapre, they don’t just think of a notary — they think of someone they can trust to help them navigate the paperwork side of life and business.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t consider myself someone who believes much in luck. I believe every situation — whether it’s a success, a setback, or an unexpected opportunity — comes with a lesson or a possibility. Sometimes the lesson is about patience, sometimes it’s about pivoting, and sometimes it’s simply confirmation that you’re on the right path.
Building Elite Tasking with Kapre has reinforced that mindset. There have been moments when plans didn’t work out the way I expected, but each one pushed me to reevaluate, adapt, and come back stronger. I’ve learned to stay open to what the journey is teaching me instead of holding on to what isn’t working.
The opportunities that have come my way — from connecting with incredible mentors to being invited to share my story in spaces like this one — don’t feel like luck to me. They feel like the result of consistently showing up, being prepared, and staying willing to grow.
I believe that when you approach life with curiosity instead of discouragement, every experience has the potential to move you forward. That’s the mindset I bring to my life and to every client I serve.
