Hi Leanne, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Leanne K, owner of Leanne K Beauty. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive community. Beauty has always been more than a career for me—it’s been a passion and a way to help people feel confident in themselves.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 15 years, beginning my journey as a licensed cosmetologist. I spent eight years specializing in hair color before deciding to branch out on my own as a solo esthetician. During that time, I explored skincare and different areas of esthetics until I discovered lash extensions. That’s when everything truly clicked for me. I fell in love with the artistry, the precision, and the confidence boost that something as simple as beautiful lashes could give someone. That passion ultimately became the foundation of Leanne K Beauty.
Outside of my business, I’m also a proud mom of three amazing children, and they are my biggest “why.” They inspire me every day to continue growing, building, and creating a life I’m proud of. My mission has always been to help women, moms, and men alike feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in their own skin. Whether someone comes to me for lashes, skincare, or simply a moment of self-care, I want every client to leave feeling like the best version of themselves.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all—it’s definitely had its challenges. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to navigate the pandemic, financial ups and downs, limited resources, and the reality of building a business with less support than I would have liked. There were moments that tested my patience and resilience, but each struggle taught me something valuable and pushed me to grow. I’ve learned to move forward with grace, stay focused, and keep building without looking for sympathy—just staying committed to the vision.

I specialize in enhancing natural beauty through customized lash services. My work is centered around creating lash sets that fit each client’s eye shape, lifestyle, and desired look—whether that’s a soft, natural classic set, a fuller volume set, or a lash lift for a low-maintenance glow. I’m known for my attention to detail, clean application, and making sure every client leaves feeling confident and cared for. What I’m most proud of is building a space where women can relax, feel beautiful, and trust that they’re in good hands. What sets me apart is the personalized experience I provide and my commitment to quality, consistency, and healthy lashes.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Definitely having perseverance and radical belief and positivity that things will always work out. I commit myself by remembering I’m always incomplete in my practices and will always have room for more education and growth.
