My journey began in 2019 when I founded Unforgettable Beginnings by Sabrina. I’ve always believed that every couple has a unique story worth telling, and I wanted to help couples celebrate one of the most important moments of their lives in a way that feels personal and authentic. Being happily married for over 35 years has given me a deep appreciation for the commitment, love, and partnership that marriage represents.
I started as a wedding officiant, creating customized ceremonies that tell each couple’s unique love story. As I worked with more couples, I realized many needed support beyond the ceremony itself. They wanted someone they could trust to help bring all the details together and ensure their wedding day ran smoothly. That led me to expand my services into wedding coordination.
Today, Unforgettable Beginnings by Sabrina provides both officiating and wedding coordination services. I have the privilege of guiding couples through their ceremony, while also helping manage the details behind the scenes so they can focus on enjoying their special day. Whether I’m sharing their love story at the altar or coordinating vendors and timelines, my goal is the same: to create a stress-free, meaningful, and unforgettable beginning to their marriage.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has taught me something valuable.
For many years, I’ve worked as an insurance instructor, helping new agents prepare for and pass their state licensing examinations. While I enjoy teaching and helping others succeed, it’s a very structured profession that doesn’t leave much room for creativity.
As I began thinking about the next chapter of my career, I realized I wanted an outlet for creative writing and the opportunity to spend my time with people who were celebrating one of the happiest moments of their lives. That’s what led me to the wedding industry and ultimately to founding Unforgettable Beginnings by Sabrina in 2019.
Of course, starting a business from the ground up came with its challenges. Building a reputation, earning couples’ trust, and establishing myself in a competitive industry took time and persistence. Weddings are deeply personal, and couples are trusting you with one of the most important days of their lives, so I knew I had to prove myself with every ceremony and every client.
Another challenge was learning to wear so many hats. As a business owner, I’m not just an officiant or coordinator. I’m also the marketer, scheduler, customer service representative, and administrator. Balancing all of those responsibilities while continuing to provide exceptional service has been a constant learning experience.
As my business grew, I expanded from officiating into wedding coordination. I discovered that many couples needed more than someone to perform their ceremony. They needed someone they could trust to help manage timelines, vendors, logistics, and all the details that make a wedding day run smoothly. Taking on that role brought new opportunities and new challenges, but it also allowed me to serve my couples on a deeper level.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey. Every obstacle has helped me grow both personally and professionally. What began as a creative outlet has become a business that allows me to tell love stories, support couples during a meaningful milestone in their lives, and help create truly unforgettable beginnings.”
