Hi April, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, where my world was beautifully framed by books, and my only real adventures were band and FFA trips. It wasn’t until my early adult years, thanks to the military, that I finally looked beyond the Oklahoma plains. That chapter sparked an insatiable hunger in me to see and experience the world. Living in Japan for three years was a massive turning point; climbing Mt. Fuji and witnessing those breathtaking views changed something in me forever.
In recent years, I’ve become incredibly intentional about traveling for pleasure and collecting memories. Driven by a desire to share the same transformative experience with others, I founded Hampton Global Travel. Our mission is simple: to bring your most extraordinary travel aspirations to life with seamless, elevated curation.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. The first major hurdle is educational—helping people look beyond routine travel. So many of us are accustomed to traveling solely for family obligations or youth sports. Those are wonderful moments, but they differ from the intentional travel that expands your horizons.
My other consistent challenge lives in the digital space. Building a luxury travel brand through social media and word-of-mouth requires building immense trust. It can be difficult to establish a truly personal, authentic connection through a screen, but that connection is vital for giving clients the confidence that I can bring their ultimate travel visions to life.

While I love curating incredible adventures for travelers of all backgrounds, I specialize in two distinct areas: designing safe, welcoming journeys for the LGBTQ+ community, and guiding first-time adventure travelers as they expand their horizons. Because Hampton Global Travel covers all corners of the globe, I pride myself on being deeply well-versed in diverse destinations. My priority is ensuring each client lands exactly where they will find the absolute most enjoyment and peace of mind.
What I am most proud of is the trust my clients place in me to step out of their comfort zones. What truly sets me apart is my tailored, human-centric approach. I don’t just book itineraries; I intentionally match a traveler’s personal comfort level and identity with the destination, ensuring their trip is as seamless and fulfilling as it is inspiring.
What makes you happy?
What makes me truly happy is the act of discovery—traveling, exploring new cultures, and collecting unforgettable memories. Because I didn’t discover experiential travel until recent years, it felt like a dormant passion suddenly woke up inside of me. Now, I have an insatiable curiosity to see and experience everything this beautiful world has to offer.
Beyond my own journeys, my deepest fulfillment comes from sharing that magic with others. There is no greater joy for me than helping someone overcome the hesitation of the unknown, guiding them to step out of their comfort zone safely, and watching them return home entirely transformed by the experience.
