Hi Andrea, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Art of Donut began as a food truck ten years ago, born from my passion for coffee and donuts. At that time, my goal was to bring something unique to San Antonio by creating truly distinctive flavors.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all; you learn as you operate your business. While entrepreneurs face many adversities, it is ultimately very rewarding to see the excitement on customers’ faces when they enter the shop and learn about the Story behind the donuts.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At The Art of Donut, we take a unique approach compared to other shops. All of our icings are made in-house, and we pride ourselves on offering seasonal flavors inspired by different parts of the world.
Beyond our donuts, we are deeply committed to our community. We proudly support various causes, including animal welfare, first responders, and teachers.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Good things take time to build, and achieving success requires patience, perseverance, and the will to make them work. Ultimately, building a great team is the only way to be successful.
