Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Garza.
Hi Andrea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a graphic designer, and creativity has been a part of me since I was very young. I’ve always loved designing on the computer and bringing ideas to life, so turning that passion into a career felt very natural.
When I started working professionally, I faced different challenges, but each one helped me grow. One of my proudest early milestones was being able to buy my first car with my own work. As my life evolved, I got married and became a mother. That stage came with new challenges, especially balancing my career with raising my children. It wasn’t easy because I didn’t want to give up something I love.
Thankfully, I found the opportunity to continue working from home, which has allowed me to grow professionally while being present for my family. Today, I work as a graphic designer from home, balancing both my career and my role as a mother.
My biggest motivation has always been my family—they inspire me to keep growing, improving, and doing what I love every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many people, I’ve faced challenges along the way, especially when it came to balancing my personal life and my career.
One of the biggest challenges was becoming a mother while wanting to continue growing professionally. It was difficult to find that balance at first, because I didn’t want to step away from something I’m passionate about, but I also wanted to be fully present for my children.
There were moments of uncertainty and adjustment, but those experiences helped me become more resilient and organized. Over time, I found a way to adapt by working from home, which allowed me to continue developing my career while taking care of my family.
Looking back, those challenges were an important part of my journey, because they pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a graphic designer specializing in creating visually appealing and functional designs, especially for social media and digital content. I enjoy bringing ideas to life through clean, modern, and engaging visuals that help brands connect with their audience.
Over time, I’ve developed a strong ability to understand what clients are looking for and translate their vision into designs that are both creative and effective. I’m known for my attention to detail, consistency, and for creating designs that not only look good but also communicate clearly.
One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to grow in my career while also raising my family. Being able to work from home and maintain that balance is a big accomplishment for me, and it motivates me to keep improving every day.
What sets me apart is my passion for design and my dedication to every project I take on. I truly enjoy what I do, and I put a lot of care into making sure each design reflects both creativity and purpose. I’m also very adaptable, which allows me to work with different styles and meet the unique needs of each client.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that might surprise people is that while I work in a very creative field, my daily life requires a lot of structure and discipline—especially balancing my work and my family.
Many people see the final designs, but they don’t always see the behind-the-scenes: managing my time, staying organized, and making everything work while being a present mom. It’s not always easy, but it has helped me become more focused and efficient in my work.
Another thing people might not know is how deeply personal design is for me. It’s not just a job—it’s something I’ve loved since I was a kid, and it continues to be a big part of who I am today.
