Hi Danielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. God put it on my heart as a little girl. I followed His lead and went to Texas State University graduating with a degree in education. I taught various grades 1st through 3rd in Austin ISD and Seguin ISD before leaving public school due to having children. I ended up getting a more part time teaching position at Learning Their Way teaching Kindergarten. In 2021 our previous owner retired and I bought the business from her. I have remained the owner/director to this day and love what I do.
Learning Their Way is a preschool and private Kindergarten in New Braunfels, Texas. Learning Their Way and its programs foster the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of preschool-age children in a secure, loving, and stimulating environment.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being an educator the curriculum part was easy. I have not had any formal business training, so I have had to learn as I go.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the Owner/Director of a preschool. Learning Their Way is a preschool and private Kindergarten in New Braunfels, Texas. Learning Their Way and its programs foster the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of preschool-age children in a secure, loving, and stimulating environment. I am very proud of how our reputation precedes us with a total serve time of almost 20 years. What sets us apart is that we love Jesus and truly love the work we do.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Start small and don’t grow too much. I wish I knew more about bookkeeping and finances when I started.
