Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley McFadden.
Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Some journeys unfold quickly, Mine unfolded in seasons.
I began cosmetology school in 2009 with a love for beauty and an instinct to create. Shortly after graduating, I married my high school sweetheart and stepped into motherhood with the birth of my first son, Peyton. A few years later, our family welcomed our second son Brody, and my understanding of growth, patience, and purpose deepened in ways I could not have anticipated.
Motherhood did not redirect my career — it refined it.
It taught me to slow down.
To be present.
To build something meaningful.
Over the years, I worked in different salon environments that strengthened both my technical skill and my operational awareness. Each space added depth — from refining consultation techniques and color formulation to understanding client retention, leadership, and sustainable growth. I learned that beautiful results require continued education, intention, and care. Every season clarified my vision.
When my family planted roots in La Vernia, I felt called to create a space that reflected both my professional standards and my personal values. I wanted something calm. Curated. Elevated but welcoming. A salon grounded in quality and presence. Parlour Bloom was born from that vision.
“Parlour” represents gathering — a warm, intentional space where people feel comfortable and cared for.
“Bloom” represents growth — cultivated thoughtfully, refined over time.
The name carries both my artistry and my life as a mother while building something lasting. It reflects the belief that beauty, like a garden, flourishes when it is nurtured with knowledge, patience, and skill.
Today, Parlour Bloom is a reflection of technique, operational clarity, and heart-led intention. My focus is not on speed, but on sustainability. Not on volume, but on experience. I strive to create an environment where clients feel both confident and at ease — where refinement meets warmth.
Parlour Bloom was built slowly,
with patience and purpose.
And like all beautiful things,
it has grown exactly as it’s meant to.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As the founder and artistic creator behind Parlour Bloom in La Vernia, my work centers around refined, lived-in color, dimensional blonding, and intentional haircutting that enhances natural beauty while honoring the integrity of the hair. Each appointment is guided by thoughtful consultation, technique, and continued education — because beautiful results are cultivated.
I’m known for creating hair that feels effortless yet elevated — soft dimension, seamless grow-outs, and results that reflect each woman’s lifestyle. But what I’m most proud of is the environment surrounding the work.
Parlour Bloom was designed as a gathering space — calm, curated, and grounded. A place where quality is chosen over quantity, presence is valued, and growth happens steadily. It reflects not only artistry, but leadership — the kind that encourages sustainability, integrity, and refinement.
Looking ahead, the vision extends beyond my chair. My hope is to thoughtfully grow a team of like-minded stylists who value technique, education, and intentional service. I want Parlour Bloom to be a space where creativity is nurtured, mentorship feels natural, and excellence is both supported and sustained.
Growth is cultivated — patiently, intentionally, and together.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
