Rising Stars: Meet Ashley Corral of Hondo, Tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Corral.

Ashley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my career with a simple goal: to care for people in a meaningful, hands-on way. Becoming a licensed massage therapist allowed me to do that while staying rooted in my small town and close to my family. Over time, my work grew into a small business built on trust, consistency, and connection—serving a community where relationships matter and word of mouth means everything.
Alongside building my business, I was also building a life as a wife and mother. Balancing family, long workdays, and the realities of small-town entrepreneurship wasn’t always easy, but it taught me resilience and intention. Every step forward required adaptability, persistence, and a deep belief in the value of what I was creating.
As I entered my forties, I felt called to expand my skill set and return to school to become a licensed aesthetician. I start school soon. This wasn’t about starting over—it was about evolving. Massage therapy taught me how to listen to the body; aesthetics allows me to support confidence, self-care, and overall well-being in a more visible way.
Today, I’m proud to stand at the intersection of experience and growth—rooted in my family and community, while continuing to learn, expand, and build a business that reflects who I am now. My journey has been shaped by real life, responsibility, and heart, and I believe it’s never too late to grow into what feels most aligned.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth. Building a business in a small town means wearing every hat, navigating slow seasons, and carrying the weight of consistency even when life doesn’t slow down. There were times when financial uncertainty, exhaustion, and self-doubt were very real, especially while balancing motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship at the same time.
One of the biggest struggles was learning to grow without guilt. As a wife and mother, choosing to invest in myself—whether that meant time, education, or energy—often felt selfish, even when I knew it was necessary. Returning to school later in life came with its own challenges: managing schedules, staying disciplined, and pushing past the fear of being “too late” or “too much.”

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a licensed massage therapist and soon-to-be licensed aesthetician, and my work is all about helping people feel their best—both physically and emotionally. I specialize in personalized massage techniques like deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone. I listen carefully, assess each person’s needs, and tailor every session to their body, lifestyle, and goals.
What I’m most proud of is the relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years. Many have been coming to me for years, trusting me to care for their bodies and support their well-being. I take that trust seriously—it’s not just about the techniques, it’s about the experience, the attention, and the intention behind every touch.
What sets me apart is my combination of skill, experience, and heart. I’ve built a small business in a tight-knit community, balancing the demands of motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship while continuing to grow my expertise. I’m not just delivering a service—I’m creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and renewed. My work reflects both my hands-on knowledge and my dedication to helping others invest in themselves, which I believe is truly transformative.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is seeing how people feel after a session with me in the massage room. Watching them leave more relaxed, lighter, and confident reminds me why I do this work—it’s not just about the techniques, it’s about creating a moment of care and restoration that stays with them long after they leave. That feeling—that connection—is truly what drives me every day.
