Exploring Life & Business with Andrea Griffiths of Griffiths Compliance Solutions, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Griffiths.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, surrounded by hardworking people who didn’t just talk about resilience, they lived it. Those early years shaped the way I began to see the world: you don’t wait for opportunity, you build it, piece by piece, even when no one is watching.

My career didn’t begin with a grand plan. It started in the fields of human resources and food safety for a produce company. I learned quickly that leadership is the foundational component of any company. I discovered how much I cared about people, about processes, and about protecting something at a larger scale. I started my studies at South Texas College and attained an associate’s in social work, and then a bachelor’s in technology management in 2020.

I moved to the San Antonio area about 8 years, driven by a want for change. While working full-time, I pushed myself academically and applied into the master’s program at Texas at Texas A&M School of Law. During the week, I traveled from restaurant to restaurant conducting audits. Weekends were spent at the Travis tower branch of the law school. That period taught me what endurance really looks like.

By 2023, I dared myself to dream bigger. I made a five-year plan with one simple goal: sign one consulting client by the end of the year. That goal turned into seven clients, all trusting me with their goals. It was the moment I realized I had built something real, and it was time to give it a name. That’s how Griffiths Compliance Solutions, LLC was born.

From there, everything accelerated. I began teaching courses, supporting FDA and USDA regulated companies, and deepening my presence in the industry. I became certified as a Preventive Controls instructor and stepped into a leadership role as Vice Chair of the International Food Protection Agencies PDG Culture Program. My curiosity and passion for food safety did not stop at there, I began my Doctorate in Criminal Justice with a focus on homeland security and supply chain infiltration. It is here where my worlds of law, behavior, food safety, and national protection intersect.

Today, my company is more than a consulting and teaching firm. It’s the culmination of years of grit, growth, and belief that proactive leadership creates safer workplaces and stronger communities. I’m proud to call San Antonio home and to help both growing and established companies build systems, and cultures that will carry them into the future.

This is only the beginning, but I am a firm believer that intention, courage, and a willingness to start before you feel ready, you can build something that matters and is sustainable.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has absolutely had its challenges. I have struggled with balancing business with my personal life, especially balancing school. I am alone in my business, so doing it alone has been a challenge. I have faced self-doubt, but kept going and believing in what the big picture of helping others see what they can do for their companies despite their own struggles. I travel different states all the time, different time zones and juggling priorities.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe I have worked very hard to get to this point. I think that my ability to empathize and understand the struggles we deal with as humans played the main roll. I do not think that luck is much of a factor, as treating people well and helping them achieve their goals is.
