Daily Inspiration: Meet Jennifer Oliver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Oliver.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a proud mom of 2 young adults and I celebrated my 20 year wedding anniversary this year with my husband. I am a naturally organized person that needs structure to function. I have a medical background of 20 years where 15 of those years I worked in the Operating Room as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Once I decided to retire from the medical field I was looking for something else I was passionate about, which was still caring for people. I am the person that was organizing the condiment drawer and cabinets during my lunch break at the surgery center. Two and a half years ago I was looking for a Professional Organizer to help my mom with a few tasks since she was caring for my dad. She lives in Oklahoma, so I did a Google search and Bee Organized popped up. The branding was cute and I loved the story of how it all began with our founders who are 2 best friends since childhood. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and saw it was a franchise. I did a screen shot and sent it to my husband titled “found it! ” and the rest is history. So of course, my need for structure, my servants heart and my attention to detail resulted as a natural and organic move for me from being in the OR to become a Professional Organizer.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since I didn’t have business background, I quickly had to learn crucial business skills, including marketing, accounting, project management, and compliance with local business and employment laws, which can be a steep learning curve. I have never been a big social media person, so that took some time for me to learn the importance of how and what to post. The road to being a business owner is like riding the waves in the ocean. Things can be unpredictable and uncertain at times, but well worth the risk.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Bee Organized is a nationwide franchise with now over 50 locations in 22 states. What sets us apart from other organizers is us belonging to a franchise. This unique business design allows me to blend my entrepreneurial spirit with the proven systems and support of an established brand. This means I can focus less on reinventing the wheel and more on what truly matters: connecting with my clients and delivering life-changing results.

We’ve seen firsthand the toll that clutter can take on individuals and families—the stress, the feeling of being overwhelmed, the inability to find what you need when you need it. It’s more than just ‘stuff’; it’s about restoring a sense of calm and control in people’s lives. The Bees can help with errands and shopping, managing home projects and repairs, seasonal decorating, personal assistance and so much more to simplify lives far and wide.

I’ve always had a passion for creating order out of chaos and, more importantly, a genuine desire to help people reclaim their space and their peace of mind. Every time I see a client’s face light up after we’ve transformed a chaotic space into a functional, beautiful one, I know I made the right choice. That personal connection and the tangible impact of my work are why I love doing what I do.”

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people don’t know that during COVID in 2020 I decided to pursue my lifelong goal of earning a college degree. I had some college credits from the past and I had attempted once to go back to school, but the plans didn’t work out. So from 2020-2022 with 2 jobs and 2 teenagers and the support of my husband, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science with a minor in Health Care Management.
