Today we’d like to introduce you to Darin Carr.
Darin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
2000 I graduated from high school and was working on cars. I took a job as a chassis technician at la Mesa rv in San Diego ca. I spent the next few years taking any class and getting any certification I could. I moved to Beaudry rv in San Marcos ca. 2008 I moved to Boerne and took a job at ron Hoover Rv. After a couple years I was given an opportunity to move from a technician to manager. 4-5 years later I decided I was to young to quit turning wrenches so I moved to ancira for a few years and worked on the hi line buses. I was really able to polish some electrical and diagnostic skills during that time. explore usa had a very young shop with little experience and all the sudden I was given the opportunity to take a leadership role but also still work on rvs. It was so fun to teach what I had learned and watch as these young men as they bought their first toolbox or car. I got to see some build their credit score and buy houses, get married and start families. Some of them even have their own business. All good things change and I made the decision to move on and start sotex rv. The mobile business is really fun but about 2 years ago. The owners( former explorers USA employees )of America go rv asked me to come help them. There is nothing like starting from scratch and watching something grow. Thats where I’m at now in comfort.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth ride. Dealership life is tuff. Long hrs. Companies sell out to bigger companies.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about America Go Rv?

What matters most to you?
Seeing good things happen to and for others.
I did not get where I’m at without great mentors in my life and I believe you should pay it forward. I guess that’s why I work in service and not sales
