Today we’d like to introduce you to Priscilla Gallegos.
Hi Priscilla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Priscilla Gallegos, and I’m the proud owner of The Royal Beauty Lounge in San Antonio, Texas. I’m a business entrepreneur, licensed beauty professional, and mom of four and I take pride in being a woman who turned her dreams into reality.
I grew up on the West Side of San Antonio and graduated from Memorial High School. Coming from a middle-class family, I always had big dreams and a deep love for beauty, aesthetics, and fitness anything that helped women feel confident and empowered in their own skin.
I became a mom at just 17 years old, but I never let that stop me. If anything, it pushed me harder to build the life I wanted for myself and my family. I went to college and spent several years working in the medical field, gaining valuable experience in helping others but deep down, I knew my true passion was in beauty and self-care.
One day, I decided to take a leap of faith and chase that dream. Five years ago, I opened my very first storefront salon, and that’s how The Royal Beauty Lounge was born. Today, I specialize in body sculpting, and aesthetics, offering services that help women look and feel amazing.
What started as a dream has grown into a business that not only transforms appearances but also uplifts and empowers women every single day. I’ve had the honor of helping many women grow — in confidence, beauty, and even their own careers.
I love what I do, I love my clients, and I’m proud to be a boss lady who built her empire from the ground up. My journey is proof that no matter where you start, with passion, hard work, and faith — you can create the life you’ve always dreamed of.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey hasn’t been easy. Behind every success and smile, there have been countless struggles mentally, physically, and financially. There were times when I truly felt like giving up.
I went through seasons in my life where I was sacrificing so much of my time away from my kids just to build a better life for them. I worked long hours, sometimes feeling like I was falling short as a mom but deep down, I knew I was doing it all for them. They were, and still are, my biggest motivation.
There were moments where I was mentally and emotionally drained dealing with personal battles that I kept to myself, feeling like my walls were closing in. Times when I questioned if I was strong enough to keep going. But even through the pain, I never stopped believing that something greater was waiting for me.
Financially, there were hard moments too. I’ve had times when my salon suites were empty, when clients were slow, and when I questioned if my business would survive. I remember feeling discouraged, wondering if I should just give up but I didn’t. I prayed, I stayed patient, and I kept working. And little by little, everything started to fall into place.
Now, when I look back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Every obstacle, every late night, every tear it was all worth it. My journey is proof that even when life tests you, you can still rise, rebuild, and create something beautiful out of struggle. My kids, my clients, and my purpose kept me going, and for that, I’m forever grateful.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Thank you so much! I’m the owner of The Royal Beauty Lounge in San Antonio, TX, where I specialize in body sculpting, and aesthetics. My passion is helping women feel confident, beautiful, and empowered inside and out.
What started as a dream has turned into something so much bigger. I’ve created a space where women not only come for beauty services but also for encouragement, self-care, and confidence building. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve built my business from the ground up while being a mom of four. There were so many times I wanted to give up, but I pushed through because I wanted to show my kids what hard work and faith can do.
What sets me apart is the genuine care and connection I have with my clients. I don’t see what I do as just services I see it as transformation. I love being part of a woman’s self-love journey and helping her feel her best. My clients always say they leave not only looking better but feeling better and that’s exactly what I strive for every day.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I wouldn’t really call it luck I believe everything happens for a reason and in its own timing. There have definitely been moments in my life and business that felt like “bad luck,” times when things didn’t go my way, clients slowed down, or life threw me unexpected challenges. But looking back, those moments taught me lessons I needed to grow.
I’ve also had moments of what some might call “good luck” opportunities that seemed to appear right when I needed them most. But I truly believe those came from hard work, faith, and staying consistent, even when things got tough.
So, for me, it’s less about luck and more about faith, timing, and perseverance. Every setback has led to something greater, and every blessing has come after a period of struggle. I’ve learned that when you keep going and stay true to your purpose, the right doors eventually open.
