Today we’d like to introduce you to Ami Teodosio.

Hi Ami, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I had always had a love for home. My brother – a trendsetter- first told me about the KonMari method when it was popular back in 2016. I was intrigued.

After my first born, I faced postpartum anxiety. I craved simplicity and wanted to be surrounded by a home that I loved. At the airport, I saw Kondo’s book and devoured it. I decided to give it a shot, and in my first Konmari session, I got rid of nine bags of clothing. The process was a bit addicting, and – dare I say – fun!

The impact was profound. Beyond physical decluttering, the “spark joy” method became a guide to living by my values. In 2023, our streamlined home became an Airbnb, and we traveled out of state for six months – a chapter I hold dear in my motherhood journey.

Now, I have a passion to help others declutter to live a life of joy.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are obstacles of self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and comparisonitis. During slower seasons, I’ve realized how much I tie my worth into my performance. Lots of learning and growing for sure.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ami Teodosio, LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a certified KonMari Consultant. My business offers decluttering, organizing and styling services. I also offer workshops and am a keynote speaker at events.

I help people declutter their homes to make room for what matters most. Some people call me the “declutter queen.” I help my clients tune into their ideal lives, what sparks joy to them, and then I get to see their ideal lives come to pass as they work with me! The work of decluttering is truly life-changing and transformational.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success in business for me is helping my clients transform their lives from the inside out. They are able to tune into their “joy meters” and carry that intuition not only in their homes, but to every area of their lives including their work, schedules and relationships.

A very pretty, aesthetically pleasing space that feels “me” to the client is also what I would call a success.
