KO Story
KO Cleaning began with Omar — the “O” in KO — whose gift for detail and heart for service turned a few residential homes into a movement. Clients didn’t just admire his spotless results; they were drawn to his charisma, care, and the way he made every space feel loved. Word spread organically, as friends visiting those homes asked, “Who cleaned this?” And just like that, KO Cleaning began to take shape — built on trust, excellence, and golden-hearted grit.
As demand grew, KO expanded into short-term rentals and commercial spaces, bringing its signature warmth and precision to every corner. Then in fall 2022, Keith — the “K” in KO — joined full-time, bringing 30+ years of retail leadership and strategic vision. With Omar’s hands-on brilliance and Keith’s systems-driven approach, KO Cleaning evolved into a brand rooted in both heart and hustle.
What started with a mop and a mission has blossomed into a thriving company known for professionalism, quality, and a personal touch. Today, KO Cleaning continues to grow — not just in size, but in impact — staying true to the values that made it special from day one: care, connection, and a commitment to going beyond clean.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
KO Cleaning has grown into a trusted service provider, but like any business, the road hasn’t always been smooth. Some of the key challenges along the way include:
Scaling Operations & Maintaining Quality – As we expanded, ensuring that each clean met The KO Way standards required structured training, detailed processes, and a commitment to consistency. Balancing growth with quality has always been a top priority.
Managing Peak Season Demands – High turnover periods required careful scheduling, proactive problem-solving, and strong coordination with vendors and property owners. Keeping up with guest expectations while maintaining a seamless operation is always a challenge, but one we tackle head-on.
Refining Systems for Efficiency – Optimizing invoicing, service descriptions, and operational workflows was a learning process, requiring constant adjustments to make tasks smoother and more scalable.
Building a Trustworthy Reputation – Establishing KO Cleaning as the go-to service for upscale properties meant proving reliability, earning client trust, and ensuring that each service exceeded expectations.

What were you like growing up?
If it weren’t for the “O” — Omar — KO Cleaning wouldn’t be what it is today. Omar’s drive, passion, and relentless commitment to excellence laid the foundation for everything we’ve built. What began as a one-man mop-and-bucket mission quickly grew into something bigger, thanks to his charisma, care, and the way he made every space feel personal. His dedication continues to inspire me daily — pushing me to grow what he started into something we can both be proud of.
Family has always been the centerpiece of my life — the foundation that shaped my values, work ethic, and purpose. I believe that strong relationships built on trust, support, and loyalty are what make life meaningful. That belief fuels everything I do.
From a young age, I carried a deep sense of responsibility, curiosity, and leadership — always striving to create something lasting and impactful. Whether it was solving problems, refining workflows, or helping others thrive, I’ve always been drawn to structure, efficiency, and elevating the world around me.
That passion led me to build KO Properties and KO & Co. Vacation Rentals — not just as businesses, but as reflections of my values. Through KO Cares, I’ve made it my mission to ensure that every person — from at-risk youth to survivors and seniors — has access to clean, safe environments that foster healing, dignity, and stability.
