Hi Anthony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I spent years in corporate America but always felt unfulfilled. That led me to start learning QuickBooks and diving into bookkeeping, where I discovered how much I enjoy working with numbers and helping business owners find clarity in their finances. I’ve always been fascinated by numbers, but more importantly, I’m passionate about helping small businesses succeed and avoid the struggles I’ve seen others face. I also want to set a strong example of financial literacy for my kids, showing them the value of smart money management and building something of your own.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Transitioning out of corporate life into building my own business has come with challenges like learning to find clients, overcoming self-doubt, and figuring out how to stand out in an industry where many people already have trusted advisors.
Balancing family responsibilities while growing a business has also been a test of discipline and patience. But every challenge has made me stronger and more determined to build something lasting that helps others and sets a positive example for my kids.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe risk is a necessary part of growth. For me, one of the biggest risks was stepping away from the security of corporate America to start my own bookkeeping business. I didn’t have a guaranteed paycheck anymore — instead, I had to invest time, money, and energy into building something from the ground up. That was scary, especially with a family to provide for, but I knew staying comfortable would mean staying stuck.
I don’t take reckless risks — I take calculated ones. I weigh the downside, prepare as much as possible, and then move forward knowing that even if I stumble, I’ll learn something valuable. Starting my business has shown me that the biggest rewards come on the other side of fear.
