Today we’d like to introduce you to Arely Gallegos.
Hi Arely, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am originally from Mexico, i decided to leave my Currier and family behind 23 years ago, looking for new things to explore and wanting to learn the culture and language, i had to start working hard 12-14 hrs a day as a server,..i got married after 1 !/2 year and became a mom right away having to put my dreams and goals at side to have the time to be a good mom and wife…. at that point i had no support from my family or my husband to do anything else…i kept dreaming and hoping and prying to be able to grow with my kids strong and get out of there in the best shape possible,after 14 years of marriage i decided to file a dissolution of marriage and went back to work 12-14 hrs a day but this time with 4 kids to feed….this time i was working to raise my kids but also working for my dreams, i went from being a server to manage different places in the food industry and from being an employee to be self employee, starting to work in the sales market until i got to the point where i could register my own company that helps people to develop their business or ideas, to help other entrepreneurs with resources and marketing ideas, i also found the opportunity to do what i always wanted to do, Art and Entertainment, i have a contract to go to Hollywood next year, as a model, but i also found a lot of people and friends willing to support and make me feel that i am not alone anymore.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it hasn’t been…not having my family support, not having a good partner and a good father to my kids and Being a single women also makes the road difficult to walk trough….Men still not struggles to accept and admit that women needs respect as well.
