Today we’d like to introduce you to Julio Escamilla.

Hi Julio, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The shop was established in 2008 by my wife and myself. The shop thrived and quickly became a staple in San Antonio.

In that time frame we also started a marketing agency JCE SEO. In 2015 we decided to focus on the marketing side of things and the shop was taken over by my former employee. We flourished on the agency side and have done work for different clientele including: Jordan Clarkson (Utah Jazz), San Antonio Botanical Garden, Paesanos Restaurant Group and many others.

In 2023 our son became of age and wanted to bring the shop back to its glory days. So Sole Boutique 2.0 🙌🏽 has resurfaced.

For sneaker lovers and the curious alike, Sole Boutique awaits, ready to rekindle old connections and create new memories, one pair at a time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Each business has its unique challenges, but we have learned to maneuver through storms. Leaning on our faith and each other has been the key to success.

Both JCE SEO and Sole Boutique are family owned and operated.

We are one of the leading digital marketing agencies in the US. Our clients are 70% local and 30% statewide.

Sole stand alone as the only independent retail sneaker store in San Antonio, Texas offering a uniquely curated selection of apparel, accessories and footwear.

I believe we are one of the only hispanic owned shop in the US.

Our footwear brands include, New Balance, Saucony, and Municipal. Clothing brands include Huf Worldwide, Nike, The Hundreds, RIPNDIP, Paper Plane, Just Don, Mitchell & Ness, Stance and many more brands.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
We learned that customer service is more important than ever. We make it our duty to provide a great experience for anyone that sets foot into the shop. The fact that they are choosing our shops gives us that much more motivation to provide exceptional service.
