Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony & Sage Edwards.
Hi Tony & Sage, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! I’m Sage, and I’ll be narrating our story.
Tony created @changeurperception on April 26, 2016, and soon after, launched several other major accounts that quickly gained traction. He just wanted to share what he was learning in real time… his personal growth, realizations, and life lessons. He’s always felt that in order to truly grow, you have to change how you see things first… which brought forth @changeurperception.
Out of that came Alchemic Healing. It’s a space where we share what’s helping us and our day-to-day reflections, relationship insights, healing tools, and honest thoughts. We’re not trying to be perfect or polished. We’re just real people growing and figuring it out, and we’ve found that when we share from that place, it ends up helping others too.
We’ve been together for 13 years, and married for 3. We were both entrepreneurs before we met—I owned a hairstyling business, and Tony was in real estate while also working full-time as a general foreman pipefitter. He eventually left that behind to become a full-time entrepreneur, and we both started building something new together.
We’re both West Side Chicago natives. And in 2019, after years of talking about it, we finally left Chicago in search of something different. We wanted a new environment that would be beneficial for growth in life and business. After visiting a few places, we landed in San Antonio and immediately felt the peace we were looking for. We fell in love with the Hill Country, the slower pace, and the warmth of the people. We’ve been here ever since.
We both love Chicago dearly and visit very often. Chicago is beautiful! But life feels good where we are right now.
Tony now runs multiple ventures in real estate, AI business automation, and software development. His real estate work has been in partnership with his longtime business partner, Bryant, under Spenward Development Group. Together, they’re now working on exciting new projects as GC builders right here in San Antonio.
We have awesome business partners and a strong network of people we work with around the world. I use my creative energy to help where I’m needed, and I truly love being able to do that. Tony has created a space where I can be creative while still living a soft life. I enjoy being able to express myself in my own way, at my own pace. I’m so appreciative to be able to work for my husband and build with him.
Though we’re based in Stone Oak, we do business both locally and nationally, and we’re always open to aligned collaborations or new projects.
At the end of the day, we just believe in living a life that feels good. Right now, we’re focused on moving with intention, building what we love, and enjoying this slower, more fulfilling season of life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. In the beginning, one of our biggest struggles was caring too much about what others thought and trying to please everyone. We were self-taught and self-motivated, so there were a lot of trial and error moments, especially when it came to finding balance, structure, and consistency in what we were building.
We both had to unlearn a lot of things we were taught growing up—about life, success, relationships, and even ourselves. But we’re grateful we were open to growth because that mindset is what brought us to where we are now.
We’re not perfect and we’re still growing, but we’re proud of how far we’ve come. We’re definitely not the same people we used to be, and we’re okay with that.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We wear a few different hats, but at the core of everything we do is helping people and businesses grow.
Tony is deeply involved in real estate, AI business automation, and software development. He helps businesses streamline and scale using smart systems. He’s also working on construction and development projects here in San Antonio through Spenward Development Group with his longtime business partner Bryant, along with other partners as well. I support our projects on the creative and administrative side, while also running our wellness page, Alchemic Healing, and helping manage a few of our other digital platforms.
We’re probably most known for keeping things real and relatable—whether that’s in our content, our businesses, or how we show up in everyday life. We don’t try to act like we have it all figured out. We just share what’s helped us and try to move with intention.
As for what sets us apart—we’re just being ourselves. We didn’t have a blueprint, we didn’t have outside help. We built all of this from scratch with a lot of faith, consistency, and love. Either you relate to it or you don’t, and that’s okay. We’re just grateful we’ve been able to create something meaningful while staying true to who we are.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Definitely. We listen to Neville Goddard just about every day. His perspective really shifted how we see things and how we move through life. We also listen to a mix of people like Joe Rogan, Alex Hormozi, Carl Jung, Dolores Cannon, and Bob Proctor. We like learning from different angles, whether it’s about mindset, business, or just understanding people better.
Some of the books that have stuck with us are Relax Into Wealth, The Power of the Subconscious Mind, and Think and Grow Rich. They’ve helped us stay focused and reminded us that our thoughts really do shape our lives.
Most of all, we love content that makes us reflect and ask, “What am I doing to bring this into my life?” Whether it’s something good or something challenging, we try to take accountability and look at what we can do differently. We don’t want to live based on what everyone else is doing. We want to take ownership and create the kind of life that feels right to us.
We also like to keep it balanced. We’re deep thinkers, but we’re also just regular people who love music and fun. When we’re working or need to focus, we’ll usually have classic music playing in the background to keep us centered. But when it’s time to turn up, it’s trap and rap all day. Our playlists are all over the place, and honestly, that’s what makes it fun.
