Meet Nikki Rozell of Nikkis Design Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Rozell.

Hi Nikki, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a love for business, even as a little kid, I was selling hand-drawn pictures to
anyone who would buy them. That early spark never went away. Over time, that creativity and
entrepreneurial spirit grew into something more, and that’s how Nikki’s Design Co. was born. I
started making jewelry around 12 years old with a christmas gift I received. That following
March, I attended my first market as Nikkis Design Co. in my parents woodwork booth where I
had a 4 ft table. As time went on, I grew out of that 4 ft. table into my own booth, setting up at
local markets. For the past 4–5 years, I’ve been traveling from market to market, selling my
handmade pieces and building connections with customers. It’s still a small business, but it’s
one I’m proud of. I’ve learned so much through these past years through successes and
challenges, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but that’s part of what makes it meaningful.
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing my business with school and other
responsibilities, such as sports, church, family, and health, especially during busy market
seasons. I’ve had to learn a lot through trial and error, from creating a strong brand to figuring

out how to set up a booth to attract customers. There have definitely been slow days, last-
minute changes, and even chaotic moments. One I recall is the time my canopy flew away in

the middle of a market – while rainy and ironically sunny weather. That day was stressful, busy,
and windy. Looking back, it’s one of those memories that makes you laugh and thank God for all
the opportunities and blessings he has given. Every challenge has helped me grow, and I’ve
learned to just roll with it and keep pushing forward. I will say, that is one thing that owning a
small business has helped me improve in, pushing forward and not worrying about every little
detail of what could have been better, but instead to focus on what I can do to improve and keep
it from happening again. Every challenge has taught me something important, and that is
something I wouldn’t trade for anything.

As you know, we’re big fans of Nikkis Design Co.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Nikki’s Design Co. is a small, handmade jewelry business that focuses on creating simple,
elegant pieces that can be worn every day or dressed up. I design and handcraft each piece
myself, with the goal of making jewelry that feels personal and timeless. I travel to different
markets to sell in person, which gives me the chance to connect directly with customers and
build relationships through my work.
What makes Nikki’s Design Co. special is that every piece is made with care and heart. I’m all
about the little details, like how a necklace falls, how earrings can elevate an outfit, and how
each piece can become part of someone’s everyday style. I want people to feel confident and
connected to what they’re wearing.
One of the things that means the most to me is hearing how much people love wearing their
Nikki’s Design Co. jewelry, especially when someone recognizes me from a market, or tells me
they received a piece as a gift or even picked it up from Guadalupe Trading Co., a small store
that carries my jewelry in Seguin Texas. I feel so much joy when customers come to find me at
a market they loved the jewelry piece so much. Even just spotting someone out and about
wearing something that I made is such a surreal and rewarding feeling. That personal
connection and seeing people light up is really what drives me and keeps me enjoying the
jewelry I make.
I’m currently 17 and also growing and expanding into another business idea, which focuses

more on a whole boutique aspect with a Texas southern feel, encouraging other small texas-
made businesses. I have big plans for the future and can’t wait to keep expanding and creating

pieces people truly love.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success isn’t just about making sales or growing numbers, it’s about impact. I define
success by the way people connect with my work. When someone tells me how much they love
wearing a piece of jewelry I made, or they recognize me from a market and share how special
that piece is to them, that’s success. It’s knowing that something I created made someone feel
good, confident, or seen. Of course, I have big goals for the future, and I work hard to grow my
business, but at the end of the day, the real success is having the ability to make people happy
and light up.
