Meet Alexandra Garcia of Andras

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Garcia.

Hi Alexandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Empowering Women to Dream Bigger:

I was born in Edinburg, Texas, but my story spans across countries, cultures, and dreams.

Growing up between Detroit, Michigan, and Los Aldamas, Mexico, I learned early on that home isn’t just a place — it’s the people and lessons you carry with you. My parents made countless sacrifices to give us a future full of opportunity. My mom, a woman of faith born in Mexico, and my dad, a hardworking man in the pipeline industry, showed me that anything is possible with faith and determination.

My childhood was filled with movement — attending kindergarten and first grade between Mexico and Detroit, traveling every six months, and eventually settling in Palmview, Texas. Even then, weekends were spent visiting family in Mexico, staying deeply connected to my roots. Summers took us to different states, wherever my dad’s work led him. Each place taught me something new: resilience, adaptability, gratitude.

My father’s belief in me fueled my ambition. His words reminded me that education would open doors, and I carried that with me every step of the way. I discovered my passion for dance in sixth grade, and it became a part of my identity, taking me to professional and competitive stages throughout college.

I became the first in my family to study abroad, learning from the vibrant cultures of Germany and China. I also took a leap of faith and launched my own brand as a sophomore in college — eager to turn my lessons into action. Today, I’m proud to still own that company, while also serving as a director for an adtech company.

My sister and I are the first in our family to earn college degrees — a reminder that dreams don’t have borders, and success is built one step at a time.

From a small town in Texas to classrooms around the world, my story is proof that where you start doesn’t define where you can go — it’s how you carry your roots, your dreams, and your determination that writes your future.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Turning Pain Into Purpose:

As a first-generation student, I had to navigate college without a clear path. I didn’t know how the process worked and often had to figure things out on my own.

During my senior year of college, I faced my greatest challenge — losing my father. He had always been my biggest supporter. Even through the pain, I stayed focused on my dreams, determined to make him proud and carry his belief in me forward.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Today, I’m proud to balance multiple careers that reflect my passions and purpose.

I am the founder of ShopAndras.com, a brand I launched as a college sophomore to bring my vision to life. Through my business, I aim to empower women by helping them grow their confidence and financial freedom. I currently run an affiliate program that allows women to earn money by promoting products they love — and in the future, I hope to expand the brand even further to offer more opportunities for women to build independent income streams.

Alongside my business, I serve as a director at an adtech company, where I combine my marketing expertise with leadership, helping brands grow and innovate in a fast-paced industry.

I am also a content creator and an official Instagram partner. Through my page, subscribers get exclusive access to my workout routines, behind-the-scenes content from photoshoots, and a glimpse into my travels. My goal is to inspire others to live boldly, take care of their minds and bodies, and chase the life they dream of.

At the core of everything I do is the mission to inspire and support women in building lives they love — personally, professionally, and financially.

What matters most to you?
At the end of the day, what matters most to me is being a kind person and living authentically. I believe in leading with love — for yourself and for others.

Loving yourself, showing up for your loved ones, and staying true to who you are are values I hold deeply. Success means nothing without kindness, connection, and the ability to make others feel seen, supported, and inspired.

True success is living a live you’re proud of, rooted in kindness, authenticity, and love.
