Exploring Life & Business with Jeanette Lira of Auravia Therapy and Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeanette Lira

Hi Jeanette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey started from a place of deep grief and personal transformation. In 2013, I lost my brother, and that moment changed the trajectory of my life. I spiraled, rebelled, and eventually found myself at a crossroads. It was through the pain, healing, and relentless self-discovery that I began building something greater than myself.

I started Positive Soul Holistic Therapy, now Auravia Therapy and Wellness; as a mission to ensure others didn’t have to face mental health challenges alone. What began as a way to process my own loss turned into a thriving practice that provides therapy and wellness services under one roof. Over the years, I expanded my work to include Lumvia, a company dedicated to supporting and mentoring mental health professionals, helping them navigate billing, credentialing, business development, and identity work.

With no formal business background, I taught myself everything; leaning on grit, Google, and sheer will. I hit seven figures within three years and have since mentored over 20 entrepreneurs to launch and grow their own successful practices. As a proud Hispanic woman, I’m committed to creating opportunities for my community, especially for women and people of color in mental health.

Today, I operate under several brands, including my personal one, Jeanette Lira LLC, where I speak, coach, and host the podcast Untamed and Unapologetic. My work centers around identity, healing, and embracing your authentic, wild self. I’ve redefined myself many times over, as a single mom, a business owner, a disruptor, a healer, and a Queen, and I’m here to help others do the same.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and honestly, that’s part of what makes the journey so powerful.

This path has been paved with loss, grief, rebuilding, and relentless transformation. The loss of my brother in 2013 was the beginning of a massive identity shift. That pain cracked me open, it led to rebellion, emotional turmoil, and ultimately, the decision to rise. I didn’t have a blueprint for entrepreneurship, no business degree, no roadmap; just a fierce determination to build something meaningful out of the pain.

Starting my own practice meant late nights, learning how to run a business from scratch, figuring out billing, credentialing, hiring, firing, scaling… all while navigating single motherhood and healing generational trauma. I dealt with financial struggle, imposter syndrome, and the weight of being one of the few Hispanic women breaking ground in the mental health industry. There were moments I wanted to quit, but my “why” was always louder than my fear.

I’ve faced the same emotional labor I help my clients process; identity crises, burnout, heartbreak, and rebuilding again and again. But every obstacle helped me step deeper into who I really am: a disruptor, a healer, a leader, and a woman who refuses to stay small.

So no, it hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been real, transformative, and worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Auravia Therapy and Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Auravia Therapy and Wellness was born out of a deep desire to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported. We’re not just a mental health practice; we’re a healing community. At Auravia, we bring together licensed therapists, nurse practitioners, and wellness providers under one roof to offer a truly integrative approach to mental well-being. Whether you’re coming in for individual therapy, medication management, or a wellness visit focused on mind-body healing, we meet you where you are, no judgment, just real support.

We specialize in trauma-informed care, EMDR, emotional transformation therapy (ETT), CBT, DBT, and holistic mental wellness. What we’re known for is how we blend traditional mental health care with wellness practices that help our clients feel whole again. From anxiety and depression to identity work, life transitions, and chronic stress, our providers walk alongside you with compassion, skill, and authenticity.

What sets us apart? It’s our culture. We are fiercely community oriented, heart led, and committed to cultural humility. As a Hispanic woman founded business, I’m deeply proud of the space we’ve created; one where people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and underserved communities feel truly safe and empowered. We don’t do cookie cutter care. We see the whole person, spirit, body, and mind; and tailor our services to support deep transformation.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how Auravia has stayed grounded in its purpose. We started as a small therapy practice and have grown into a full-spectrum wellness hub because we listened, to our clients, our community, and our calling. We offer therapy, medication management, hormone restoration, weight loss, wellness coaching, and soon, even more holistic services like nutrition support and group healing experiences.

If there’s one thing I want readers to know about Auravia, it’s this: healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re in crisis, in transition, or just ready to take the next step toward becoming your most authentic self; we’re here for you.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
For me, the most important quality behind my success has been resilience, hands down.

Life has thrown a lot at me. I’ve faced grief that shattered me, moments that forced me to rebuild everything from the ground up, and situations that could’ve easily made me give up. But I didn’t. I pushed through the pain, the fear, the self-doubt, and kept showing up, again and again. That resilience has allowed me to not only survive but thrive, and build something meaningful for myself, my family, and my community.

I also think my ability to adapt and stay deeply connected to my “why” has carried me far. I don’t do this for accolades or ego; I do it because I know what it’s like to feel lost, unseen, and unsupported. Every space I’ve built, every service I offer, comes from a place of lived experience, healing, and heart.

At the core of it, I just refuse to quit. That stubborn fire inside of me; the one that believes in purpose, in people, and in possibilities, that’s what keeps me going.
