Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Holland
Hi Christian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Christian Holland. I run a photography page on instagram under the name Crixtoll. I am a senior at Judson High School in Converse. I was born on September 19, 2006 in Mesa, Arizona. My mother is from the Philippines and my father worked in the military. I traveled around the country due to being a military family. Still, San Antonio is the place we call home because of its Filipino and military community.
I’ve been the family photographer for as long as i can remember. My mom always had some type of phone or device that could take photos. It didn’t matter if it was an big event or small outing, i would be the picture taker. It would eventually grow on me.
I started in instagram page at the start of 2023 and started with taking picture while on vacations. Eventually i got my hands on an actual older camera and be impressed by its capabilities compared to an iphone. Ive always seen car photos and ive always liked cars but didnt know anything about them. So i decided it would be a good idea to take photos of cars to expand my car knowledge and take photos. My first car meet at carsandcoffeesanantonio held at the six flags parking lot got me hooked on photography. I would eventually upgrade cameras and go to more and more meets in the area.
My skills and page have expanded quite a bit since my start in 2023. I hope to expanded into video and continue to grow in photos and graphic design. I really want to shoot motorsports one day either myself, for a team, company, or editorials. I appreciate God for what he’s done for me so far, and I appreciate family, friends and those who helped to support and mentor me as I go about this.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Family has had some struggles with money through the years. Ive dealt with weight problems during my early teen years. But ive done better with hitting the gym and being apart of my schools powerlifting team at Judson Highschool.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Im not a professional. I dont get paid for my work, but i plan to change that by soon providing a service to those who want photos of their cars. As a creative, i live music, video, and photos. I can create music, write, music, edit, create storyboards, shot lists, lighting, etc. I play instruments such as bass, guitar, and saxophone.
