Check Out Presente Podcast’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Presente Podcast

Hi Presente, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Vanessa Seca and I (Tracy Talavera) exchanged messages on Instagram earlier this year that led us on a journey to create Presente Podcast. We reside in San Antonio but were born and raised on the border of Texas and Mexico in Laredo. We are using our cultural influence to continue to grow and positively impact as many people as we can.

Presente Podcast is a love letter that explores topics of healing, advocacy, adulthood, and introspection on the issues that affect us and our community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of our struggles have been getting out of our comfort zone with this type of content creation and seeking perfection when editing content. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just post it!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are two women who are navigating life while creating a space for unfiltered conversations surrounding the deeper connections of life through the perspective of our cultural lens. While we do have a story outside our conversations, we do focus on what we have in common and how our experiences shaped our worldview. We take our successes as well as our failures and attempt to reach out to create connections. We want our approach and our views to be different from what has been available to not only get the perspective of the hispanic culture but women who don’t conform and have had a very different path than what is shown.

How do you define success?
As Latina creators we define success as creating an impact while being able to still provide representation and authenticity. We want to speak for the culture while also giving comfort to those that didn’t stick to the status quo. We’ve grown as a culture and if we’re able to represent and create conversations on the issues that matter while being able to educate on the lesser known issues then we feel confident that we’re on the right path.
