Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Alonzo
Hi Angela, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had an interest in the occult and spirituality in general. I was raised in Catholicism but quickly learned it did not align with my views and feelings. As I grew older I found myself living in the rat race with little joy in the mundane. I decided that I needed a change and my first instinct was to learn more about Spirituality. I was immediately drawn to crystals and working with their energy. The more I learned and used crystals, the better my life became. At this time, crystals were somewhat hard to find in town and the bigger pieces seemed out of my price range. I did a lot of research and decided that I wanted to be able offer people like myself an opportunity to work with crystals without the heavy price tag.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle has always been time. Since I have started on this journey, I have been working 6-7 days a week. Things like taking a break or a vacation are certainly challenging. Another struggle is that the economy has had a lot of ups and downs in the past 4-5 years and so many businesses have come and gone but thankfully we’ve remained afloat.
We’ve been impressed with Abundant Universe, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a brick and mortar shop located in Northwest San Antonio. We specialize in selling crystals and crystal jewelry sourced from all over the world and at affordable prices. We have a huge variety of crystals such as towers, spheres, raw specimens and fun and unique carvings (such as Sanrio, Pokemon and many more of your favorite characters). We also sell gifts such as Sanrio and Pokemon plushies, intention candles, tarot and oracle decks and books on Spirituality.
We offer tarot readings daily, spiritual/energy cleansings every Friday, Psychic/Mediumship readings twice a month and monthly group healings by meditation, sound bath, Limpias, etc.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is of making mud pies and decorating my “pies” with flowers and leaves. Now I craft intention candles with herbs and spices.
