Community Highlights: Meet Victor Rubio of 210 On The Go Detailing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Rubio

Hi Victor, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We started from very humble beginnings. I used to be a service advisor at the Wash Tub and was laid off. We had our savings dwindling and our backs against the wall. I fell back on what I knew best, which was mobile detailing. My wife and I came up with a strategy to start our business along with a set amount. We told no one our plans and this was the day before Christmas. Come Christmas Day an old friend of ours reached out and asked if he could stop by to leave a gift for us. I gladly accepted and he stopped by to hang out for a little while and handed me an envelope with our gift. It was the exact amount that was needed to start our business. I felt as if this was a sign directly from God and we hit the floor running and haven’t looked back since. When we first started it was out of the trunk of a Ford fiesta now we operate out of a truck and trailer. We have clients spread out all over San Antonio, New Braunfels, Cibilo, Schertz and Lavernia we are continuing to grow. We not only service cars, boats, RVs, but even commercial and private aircraft. We have made a name for ourselves and continue to do so as we push forward year after year.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been far from easy but we continue to push through every obstacle thrown at us. Since I’m a one man show the scheduling is hard in regards to accommodating in a timely manner. We sometimes face equipment failures or significant traffic which causes delays. One of the hardest things for us has been keeping everyone happy so we can maintain our five star rating on Facebook. We are persistent in staying positive and maintaining a positive outlook.

We’ve been impressed with 210 On The Go Detailing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a mobile detailing business that offers an array of detail services. We offer everything from interior detailing to full exterior detailing, even ceramic coatings. We not only offer our detail services to cars, but boats RVs and aircraft as well. I think what sets us apart from all the other competitors is our professionalism, consistency and customer service. Our brand is me, so I make sure to leave a lasting impression on our customers. I seek to establish relationships and not a quick buck. This is important to me, I’ve had clients blossom into friendships. Our company tries to give as much back as we can to our community. We have a special needs child so we get the day to day struggles that life can throw at you. That’s why this feels so much bigger than just a car wash or small business, we are offered the opportunity to leave an everlasting impression on someone. So we always seek to make the best out of every encounter.

What matters most to you?
My relationship with God is of the upmost importance to me! Second to that is my wife and kids. My oldest was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. This is what lead us to do everything in our power to provide for our kids and build a legacy for them. My life revolves around God and my family, every decision that we make is usually processed in that same order. This is what is and always will be the most important thing to me.
