Hi Chloe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved to San Antonio in 2013 for more opportunities to become something. I’m from a small city in Kansas and unless you wanted to work in the aircraft industry or medical field there were not a lot of options. My family had a construction business that had just made the move to Texas. It took me two years for them to hire me! Once I started working with them I became a sponge. I soaked up all the information they had to give. We had some interests in other areas of business but were waiting for that door to open. Once it did I walked right through it!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Wouldn’t that be nice!? My business career was on an incline with a decision to move to Dallas, Texas. It opened so many more doors for opportunities and got our name out. Doors were opening when others were closing. We were affected by the pandemic along with many other people. I tried to make it work in Dallas but unfortunately it was not. I was really sad to leave Dallas and the friends I had made. I moved back to San Antonio and didn’t realize how great the opportunities were here! Coming at it with fresh eyes and a new perspective changed everything!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a serial entrepreneur with family businesses spanning multi-family construction, residential home rentals, and the beauty industry. One of my biggest passions is Beauty Wise Med Spa and Wellness in San Antonio, where we specialize in aesthetics, wellness, and weight loss treatments.
What I love most—and what makes me proud—is seeing the transformations we help create. Whether it’s a subtle refresh or a full confidence boost, I’m obsessed with the before-and-afters, the glow-ups, and seeing people truly feel their best. Everyone is beautiful—we just help them see it for themselves.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Calculated risks are where growth happens and you get the answers to the “what ifs” you’ve been wondering about. Success looks different to everyone. I believe to be successful is to step outside of your comfort zone. Co-founding Beauty Wise was one of the biggest risks I have taken thus far. It is a competitive industry, an industry I was completely new to and there were no guarantees. Success comes from a little bit of trusting the process, taking smart risks and not letting fear be the reason you don’t move forward.
